I have only quite recently found this site. However, I have had conspiracy tendencies for quite some time. Due to the ramping up of all things conspiratorial.. I am definitely getting the urge to stock up on items and have my bug out plan in operative form. We live in a city and I plan to leave at the first sign of SHTF.. taking my 4 yorkies with me and heading 3 hours north to my daughters in a much less populated area.

My husband of 9 years..(we're older, 2nd marriage) and he's also 13 years older than myself, thinks I'm crazy and tells me so on a somewhat regular basis. I'm also a negative person, doom and gloomer, drama queen etc. As long as the stock market is doing well, he's a happy camper. I shared some info with him last week and later that day we got into an arguement and he called me all sorts of degrading names. This happens fairly frequently.. Once or twice a month. I just stay in my room and ignore him as I am so tired of listening to him tell me how stupid I am I could scream. Our arguements aren't always over "doom and gloom". I am a Christian .. he considers himself one also but thinks "the rapture is doom & gloom also.

I have always been fairly "different" in my thinking. I don't have a problem going against the socially, politically or spiritual current. I don't have a lot of friends (3 sisters) and have never felt the need to surround myself with such.

Are there any other people like me out there with spouses who have their heads in the sand? How do you handle it?
