Re: I need help understanding the 7 Churches part of the Revelation
Could, possibly, the 7 Churches stand for 7 true religions?

Or is this based on the first 7 true Christian Churches?

Any input at all or views on the Revelation would be much appreciated.

... follow where I lead you, and maybe just maybe these's seeds of truth will awaken you in the "hour of temptation.".

 Quoting: Little Star

Such arrogance, presuming to be our leader and that we are asleep, just because we disagree with you. There have been debates over this for many, many years, and you would do well to spend some quality time trying to understand the Rapture view from those who are well-regarded teachers. The material you presented is nothing new or surprising, and certainly not air-tight or convincing. You'll blame that on me of course, but I'm not so full of myself as to say that I'm your teacher. I just disagree.
 Quoting: Keep2theCode

Just so atypical of a real Christian like yourself to use Ad Honomins as a basic's to back up your teachings.

I used scripture to back up what I have shared.

And you DID NOT go to Eze. chapter 13 and read that did you?

It is not what I said about Rev. 2 and 3 that got to you, it is the word "Rapture" that got to you, didn't it?

I will again let the Word do my talking for me..
Eze. 13:17 talks about those that prophecy out of their own hearts (minds instead of learning the Word).
Eze. 13:18 Yes, woman, (which is suppose to be the bride of Christ that is both real men and women) sew pillows (coverings to hide Gods outreached saving hands) and they hunt souls to deceive them .(Souls? What souls? All humanity has a soul a spiritual body.)
Eze. 13:19 Yes they pollute just like the 5 churches do on the subject and object that we are suppose to be teaching do with each other, falsely teaching to fly away.
Eze. 13:20 (Oh I must type this out just for you my beloved accuser)
" Wherefore thus saith the Lord G; Behold, I am AGAINST your pillows (lies), where with ye hunt souls tome make them (FLY yep rapture doctrine lie), and I will ter them from your arms, and will let the souls go, even the souls that ye hunt to make them "FLY".

Eze. 13:21 Yep, God is going to rip apart that lie of the rapture when Christ comes and finds those 5 churches in Rev. 2 and 3 that are bowing down to Satan thinking he is Jesus to come and rapture them away.

Eze. 13:22 and 23 does not need any explanation from me. It is quite clear God is upset with the lies that Satan puts into the minds of those that God cannot trust to keep the Word.

So there! TEll me that I spoke wrong. God hates those that teach their congregation that they will fly away.
Christ said in Mark 13:14 " But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken by Daniel the prophet standing where (it)(HE Satan) ought not, let him that readeth understand , then let them that be in Judea (Jerusalem where Satan will go to)flee to the mountains.

So, did Christ say anyone was going to fly to save their souls?
Nope, He said get out of Jerusalem and get away from Satan.
He is the only Abomination of desolation meaning" He is the only one that has been judged already, no other entity has been judged ,not even those wicked angels that side stepped Gods plan spoken of in the book of Jude 6 have been judged yet.
Now lets go see if Satan , Tyrus that cherub has been judged yet, okay?
Eze. 28:12 (You read it. See if your wise to understand)

Eze. 28:13 there is Satan in the garden of Eden. ANd see his beautiful body there? God made him the full pattern and the stones there are the bright area's coming off of his body,, Note: In the original writings Satan is called the Shining one. I wonder why after reading Eze. 28:13.

Eze. 28:14" Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth(Covereth what? The thrown of God trying to take over Gods thrown.) and I have set thee so; thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire."

Eze. 28:15 " Tho wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created". Yep, beautifully made by God Satan is.

Eze. 28:16" By the multitude of thy "merchandise" (selling souls as if they belong to him) have filled the mist of thee with "Violance" , and thou hast SINNED; Therefore I (God speaking) will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God; and I will DESTROY THEE; O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of the fire."

Eze. 28:17" Thine heart was lifted up (pride) because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of they brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before Kings, that they may behold thee.

Eze. 28:18 " Thou hast defiled thy sacntuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick" (Yep stealing souls from the Lord all by lies and deceptions.)

Eze. 28:18 to continue " Therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ASHES UPON THE EARTH IN THE SIGHT OF THEM THAT BEHOLD THEE.
Eze. 28:19, 20

Now for the man part, go back and read Eze. 28:9.

Yes, Satan is called a man. And yet He is super natural and will deceive all of those that believe in the rapture doctrine which started in 1830 in Scottsdale England by two charismatic Cath. priest who had a low attendance in their church. So they ran with it after a insane person Margret McDonald spoke it with her brothers John and Bill by her side in the nut house that she was in.
1 Thess. chapter 4:13 is the object and subject of that chapter. Paul is just saying, IF YOU DIE IN CHRIST YOU WILL RAISE UP IN YOUR SPIRITUAL BODY AND GO TO PARADISE.
Then they got it wrong and so Paul had to rewrite back to the Thess. to help them understand it.
So that is why we have the second letter 2 Thess. chapter 2 and that is where Paul says there will be a falling away first and that the Man of Sin (Satan) must be revealed first before we gather back to Christ.
Satan comes at 666 and Christ comes at 777.
Again Christ said in Mark 13:14 that Satan is coming.
No gathering back at that time.

So, the reason you got upset with me is NOT because of what I said about anything because I used scripture which all should use and use the formula of 2 Cor. 13:1 as the way to verify the Word.
But you had to blast me back without saying anything but negative words to make your stance. How wonderful you really are and how nice of you as a representative of Christ to blast away others when you were told NOT to do those types of things to others. Psalms 50:6 just proved you wrong. I have more if you wish.

I don't hate you or dislike you because you cannot agree with me. Nor will I tell you that you are some kind of monster or any other verbiage that you seem to do to others.

But I will take your whipping and cast it back to you and say "peace, and I love you in the Lord."

Oh, PS. I am not arrogant like you said, I am sealed by the blood of the Lamb and have claimed my heritage and have received the latter day sealing by God. And you can't take that away from me no matter how much you insult me or others.

You can't have my crown of life, my soul belongs to Christ, not you.
So judge way and have a great time doing it.

You have no idea what "ad hominem" means, or the difference between an apt description of behavior and a judgement of character, the latter being what you yourself dish out with impunity.

Putting you on ignore for being impossible to talk to. Of course you'll claim I just ran away screaming, but that won't change the facts (though it might soothe your ego or something, who knows).

PS: Look up the difference between "typical" and "atypical".

Re: I need help understanding the 7 Churches part of the Revelation
Thou shalt not kill (murder) is still in effect.
Thou shalt not have any other Gods before me , is still in effect.
All ten commands are still in effect.
You either were taught wrong or mis-understood the Teachings of Paul.

Yes, Christ said for us to listen to Him and He is the manna giver, and told us to read the Word as spoken of in John 6:63.

Christ Himself said He changes not one jot or titel of the Law, but came to fulfill the Law.

I guess also Rev. 3:10 is wrong in what you have shared with us.

I can just hear it now "oh we can sin all we want because we have the teachings of 1 Eph. John chaper 1 and chapter 2."

That teaching will lead many to the other side of the gulf in Paradise.

WE will fall short, and Christ said so. That is why God sent Him here to help us along this time of learning, this earth age.

But hey, if you want to teach that it is okay to murder someone and we are not under the law, then go ahead and teach it.

So much mis-teachings it is not funny.

Think about what I just shared with you.

Are we still under the ten commandments?
After all the object and subject is Rev. 2 and 3 the 7 churches. And as I pointed out five of the churches will fall because they did not keep the Word. Rev. 3:10 they kept the Word.

Sorry for being too straight forward with you.
 Quoting: Little Star

Once again you think that whoever disagrees with you must be ignorant or poorly trained. Not true. At all.

You also don't seem to grasp the part about us being under a new priesthood, and the meaning of the law of love which "DOES NO HARM TO ITS NEIGHBOR". We don't need the Ten Commandments to tell us that, do we.

Jesus was asked what works are required by God, and he answered, "To believe on the One he has sent". That's it. And fulfillment of the law has the same end result as annuling it: it's done, it's finished, it's no longer in effect. Or did the writer of Hebrews lie when they said "In fact, the former law is annulled because it is weak and useless since it didn't complete anything." (Heb. 7:18)

And please, spare us the ridiculous "license to sin" ploy. Did Paul not write, "We died to sin, how can we live in it any longer?" You are so afraid of our freedom in Christ that you would cling to the old carcass of the law.

And you need to apologize for insinuating that because I QUOTE THE SCRIPTURES that say we are not under the law (esp. Gentiles who were NEVER under it), that I would commit murder! Such poor, poor reasoning on your part; it's a sad commentary on our times that I even have to explain these things.

Too straight forward? Don't flatter yourself; you're just too clueless is all.
 Quoting: Keep2theCode

So, I guess I can go kill, murder, steal then, huh?

I guess I can go worship another god then too?

See, I have had this chat with tons of Christians.

And I know what the falling away churches are doing. We can freely sin is their moto.

Yes we have an advocate by the way of Christ when we sin.
But we are NOT to be habitual sinners.
I understand where you are coming from, but I mean I truly understand 1 Epistle of John teachings found in chapter 1 and 2.
But that does not mean I am suppose to SIN.
I fall short, and I sometimes fall short without you knowing about it.
Does that mean I can follow the law perfectly like Christ did? God for bid, I am not Christ who saved us.
But I refuse to say in any forum that we can just SIN.

Just tell me what part of the ten commandments are no longer in effect, will ya?

Don't be so hasty to blast me. Lets chat and be at peace.
Lets not make Satan the champion of our discussions and let him use us to blast one and another.

Have a great day and I hope you take the chip off of your shoulder.

And Yes I do know what the word Ad Hominem means. I was the very first on glp to use that expression and that is in the history of glp. So there! lol

But it is the truth.. lol

Again, a character assassination is given by you. That is how many Christians operate and you just proved it again.

Can't stay with the object and subject of the conversation, because you are way off base even now.

The word Rapture got to ya. lol

I am laughing with ya my beloved. And if you don't believe that, it is okay with me.

I am not out to make myself as the greatest teacher there ever was. As a matter of fact we are all just students of the Word. For Christ is the Word and that is what I am seeking, not some opinion of someone who thinks I am being arrogant. lol

Go read again what I said, and prove me wrong on what I said. Can't!
So blast away, because I can take your blasting all day long.

I am NOT some man or woman pleasing person. And I will not be politically correct because that is why the World is in the condition it is in today.

I refuse to be with the "good oh boys club" because they will fall in due time.

My objective has always been to drive people into the Word. If you find fault with that, then have at it, let me have it right between the eyes.

My objective is to get people to study and to really dig out the Word instead of listening to the traditions of mens church systems. After all I did say in one of my upper posts that (I am included in the equation that I presented).

Yet, I get a nice little blasting. I loved it too! Makes me know I am reaching others and it makes me know I am not perfect.
But you sure are. I wish I could be a nice and perfect as you are, maybe you can recommend something to me to read to help me be just like you and how to be nice like you are.

I am sure as long as I live in this flesh body I will fall daily and come short to your glory.
Just prove what I have shared wrong is all I ask on the object and subject of this thread.
You took a side route on this thread, and now look at us.

Lovey dovey, kiss kiss, hug hug to ya...

lol

For what it is worth, blessings to ya..

So I guess you were not doing a character assassination on me.
Lets see, shall I post your own words or will this be all that I need to let you know I do know and understand that Latin word Ad_Hominem.

I might mis-spell things from time to time, why?
Being dyslexic makes a bit tough for me at times. lol

But hey, I am sure you will blast a handicap person too. lol
I am just joking with ya, truly I am... lol

I have to laugh because of all the people who write in claiming to have all this knowledge.

Maybe you do, but durning the period when Jesus was actaully here on this planet most who met him or knew him did not know who he actually was.
Even his cousin John had to ask if he was the Messiah
So now 2000+- years later you think you know?

2Now when John had heard in the prison the works of Christ, he sent two of his disciples,

3And said unto him, Art thou he that should come, or do we look for another?

Please stop the nonsense.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 15368494

And who exactly are you, who laughs and acts superior?

Jesus gave John the answer he sought, and told us that He would rise from the dead as predicted. The disciple John wrote his Gospel for the expressed purpose of telling us that we could KNOW and be confident. How could you be so ignorant of this? It is YOU who know nothing.
 Quoting: Keep2theCode

I guess I am not the only one that gets a blasting from ya.

Oh, I am sorry, I should not of pointed that out.
Instead I will just say a nice prayer to God and ask Him if He will forgive me and others for being as confident and assured as you are in all manner of sharing.

I thought it was just me you were upset with ! lol

All I am asking is, we are here to learn. Can ya help us with your great teachings you give out?

We all be lost souls and we need your great expressions of perfection to lead us into the promise land and into paradise. lol

Are we to act like this towards one and another? Can I? I sure have but I am trying to stay away from it; that is, the blasting that Satan makes us do towards each other.
Isn't it fun to let him do that to us low life's and lesser character type person like you ?

Peace and blessings

point 1: where the 7 churches located in turkey? yes or no

...Most definitely yes...all within the geographical confines of Asia minor...specifically Turkey.

>So whats curious about this is there were countless churches established throughout the Meditereanean by the time of Johns writing of Revelation circa 90+ a.d.

this is not certain.. nobody knows these dates.. could be anywhere between 30bc and 400ad..

>So whats curious about this is there were countless churches established throughout the Meditereanean by the time of Johns writing of Revelation circa 90+ a.d.

the exact date is not known. many on here (glp) state that the gospel books were written 200 or 300 a.d. , to give you an example.

why not just assume the obvious, that the 7 in revelations is the same as the 7? all this would take is to move the date of john (patmos) a little backward, and the gospel books a little forward. nobody agrees on these dates anyway..

>Why the focus on these seven churches....? Does Turkey play a major role in end of days prophecy & world events...? Perhaps...

(asia minor) was the cross roads of the greek empire.. a very important area..

yes, i counted down 9 posts after this post.. all 9 posts after this post refer to symbolism, which, yes, u can use symbolism,

now after counting down 9 posts, all of the rest of the posts, to the end of page 2, were about the rapture, apocalyptic christianity, end times.. etc.

Is this just an assertion, or do you have an authoritative source that confirms it?

>So whats curious about this is there were countless churches established throughout the Meditereanean by the time of Johns writing of Revelation circa 90+ a.d.

 Quoting: Aikan

Whether people on GLP claim they know the dates is irrelevant, unless they cited reliable sources. The fact is that the last book, Revelation, was written in AD 95; even wikipedia, who isn't at all inclined to be favorably prejudiced toward the Bible, takes this as the latest date:
[link to en.wikipedia.org (secure)]

Even if we take the book of 1 Peter as the latest, the outside limit is thus AD 150:
[link to en.wikipedia.org (secure)]

So your date range seems completely arbitrary (pulled out of thin air).

As for assuming the allegedly obvious, one person's idea of obvious or common sense is not another's, and neither trump established scholarship. The assertion that "nobody agrees anyway" as justification for dismissing all the evidence is hardly defensible.

>Why the focus on these seven churches....? Does Turkey play a major role in end of days prophecy & world events...? Perhaps...

(asia minor) was the cross roads of the greek empire.. a very important area..

 Quoting: Aikan

Possible, and if true, would be a great way to get the book out to the greatest number of believers in the shortest time. But as anyone who studies the Bible knows, 7 is a very important symbol as well, such that the number chosen may have more to do with that than with there being only and exactly seven churches.

One might cite as an example of a church conspicuous by its absence the church at Corinth. They certainly had their grounds for divine displeasure, as much as any of the 7 of Revelation, so why would they not be one of the group? Or what about the church at Rome? Given the extent of Paul's missionary trips as well as others evangelists such as Philip, the thought that only 7 existed by 95 AD and all in Turkey is highly unlikely.

It's one of the few parts of the Book that is crystal clear.
The warnings are to the seven existing churches.
Some people allegorize them, but they are seven actual
churches at the time of John's writing.

There may be a deeper meaning, as much of prophecy is
type and shadow of the future.

In addition, they hold warnings that are applicable to
all churches of all times.

If they are symbolic of seven church ages "literally"
I've never seen a convincing delineation of it.

Our present time is frequently compared to the Laodicean
church, but you can see that church all throughout
church history, or the descriptions of it.

Re: I need help understanding the 7 Churches part of the Revelation
They are exactly what he said they were. The 7 early churches in asia.

Ephesus
Smyrna
Pergamon
Thyatira
Sardis
Philadelphia
Laodocean
 Quoting: †DISCERN†

Yes, but they also represent the seven church ages. Today we are in the final Church of Laodicea (meaning: lukewarm).

G.Hotter does a good video commentary why this is so.

Re: I need help understanding the 7 Churches part of the Revelation
To the Church in Ephesus

“To the angel[a] of the church in Ephesus write:
These are the words of him who holds the seven stars in his right hand and walks among the seven golden lampstands. (Talks about this angel’s understanding of the man on earth that holds the future of the world in his hands: That that angel philadelphia knows what this angel is thinking) 2 I know your deeds, your hard work and your perseverance (You are good, you work hard, you even still exist given all the threats). I know that you cannot tolerate wicked people, that you have tested those who claim to be apostles but are not, and have found them false (you really are a good man). 3 You have persevered and have endured hardships for my name, and have not grown weary (Even in philadelphia's confusion and frustration with you and his admiration of your enemy, you still know what is going to happen and why, or are simply seeking that infromation more than anyone else seeks it.).
4 Yet I hold this against you: You have forsaken the love you had at first (Bro you and phildealphia were tight, shit was working very well, all your differences didnt matter to you guys). 5 Consider how far you have fallen (What happened... Phildealphia knows he changed, but you turned away from the love you felt for him because he seemed to know nothing... trust in his plan, why wou should trust in his plan comes next)! do the things you did at first (Act like you care for Philadelphia and he will show you how much he really cares for you). If you do not repent, I (Philadelphia) will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place (Philadelphia will have to in order to accomplish his teachings and lessons to his west... retregibly so. So overcome, for both our sakes).6 But you have this in your favor: You hate the practices of the Nicolaitans (Globalists elite and their pompous new world order) , which I also hate (Philadelphia's plan is like this but differs in very key ways, ways you know, or can find out simply by trusting him).
7 Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to eat from the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.

Re: I need help understanding the 7 Churches part of the Revelation
Could, possibly, the 7 Churches stand for 7 true religions?

Or is this based on the first 7 true Christian Churches?

Any input at all or views on the Revelation would be much appreciated.

The seven churches are the seven main nervous centers of the spinal medulla in the human being.

Ephesus is the coccygeal ganglion, the Muladhara chakra where the serpent (symbolized by the feathered serpent of the Aztecs) of our sexual power is dormant.

Re: I need help understanding the 7 Churches part of the Revelation
These seven thunders are the seven notes that resound in the seven churches of the vertebral column of the initiate. These seven churches look like opened lotus flowers within the marvelous reed of our vertebral column.

Ephesus grants us power over the earth; Smyrna grants us power over the tempests; Pergamos grants us power over the fire and also grants us telepathy; Thyatira grants us power over the winds; Sardis grants us the power of creation and the occult ear; Philadelphia allows us to see the Angels, Thrones, Potentates, Virtues, etc.; Laodicea is our resplendent lotus of one thousand petals, the Diamond Eye, the Crown of Saints that, with its terrific resplendence, makes the demons scatter; it is the omniscient eye wherein the atom of the Holy Spirit abides.

The Astral Light is the sacred fire of the Holy Spirit, the light of the Logos, whose nature and divine powers are like living and conscious electricity; it is not comparable to the physical electricity that we know.

there are no true religions, only YOUR personal relationship with god. Jesus taught that, he did not start a religion, the bible was made to lie on that peter being the head of his church thing, made up by thugs to support Rome

... follow where I lead you, and maybe just maybe these's seeds of truth will awaken you in the "hour of temptation.".

Re: I need help understanding the 7 Churches part of the Revelation
There's many levels of understanding here, but certainly a chronology of the last 2000 years

The MAIN reason of these letters is WHY THE CHURCH, like Israel, FAILS IN THE END.

I know it sounds harsh but if you add up all of Jesus' charges against the churches (There are exactly 10), starting with: "You left your first love" believers will be able to see how to be AN OVERCOMER as each letter closes with "s/he that overcomes"

The OVERCOMERS will partake of the 1st resurrection (Rev 20:6)
(John 5:29a)
