I get whole milk in gallons, pour out about 3 inches into a pitcher and freeze the gallon. To use I take it out of the freezer and into the fridge the day before I need it. Just remember to shake the jug before pouring. Just like 2% milk. Also I kept handy cans of Country Cream dry powdered milk, best tasting of all I tried....IF you still can find it. When Japan had the quake, tsunami, etc suppliers could not sell to their usual customers govt bought them out. |

A little bit of milk isn't going to kill you and it sure as hell won't change your immune system to that of a bovine. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 24746878 Just don't personally drink a gallon a week and you'll be fine. Actually a little bit of milk makes me sick. Even the lactose free stuff. My system just does not tolerate milk what-so-ever. Sucks because I love ice cream. We usually go for almond milk. I'm far from anorexic. “Believe nothing, no matter where you read it, or who said it, no matter if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense.” -Hindu Prince Gautama Siddharta, the founder of Buddhism, 563-483 B.C |

Quoting: Gonviral [link to abclocal.go.com] Senator Charles Schumer is warning of higher milk prices if Congress does not renew the Farm Bill. The senator says milk prices could double around the state if legislation is not passed, and says the nation will start to revert to agricultural policy of the 1940s. The National Milk Producers Federation says government purchases of dairy products under the old law could push milk prices above 6 dollars a gallon. The 2008 Farm Bill expired on Sunday. A version passed by the Senate has stalled in the House of Representatives. Any time someone MUST pass a bill I get very suspicious. Milk is going to go up along with everything else we consume because of all the play money that has been printed recently. There is a hidden agenda, I promise. Lets stop giving money to farmers, free loaders, monsanto, oil companies, and all the rest. Then, let us keep our money when we earn it! If we didn't give everyone with their hand stuck out a pile of our tax dollars we would have enough to buy $6 milk. Hope for the best, but prepare for the worst. "America is at that awkward stage.
