Kentucky Chinese restaurant closed after roadkill found in kitchen
Stomachs turned at a Chinese restaurant in Kentucky last week when in the middle of enjoying a buffet lunch, customers noticed a rubbish bin full of roadkill being wheeled into the kitchen.
Locals and regulars of the Red Flower Restaurant in Williamsburg couldn't believe their eyes as they watched the owner's son and an employee pushing a clumsily concealed deer carcass through the dining room as it dripped blood all over the floor.
In a useless attempt to avoid unwanted attention, the men had tried to hide the dead animal under a box, but to all watching, the shocking truth was plain to see.
After one quick-thinking diner called the health authorities, an inspector arrived to investigate and was amazed to hear the restaurant owner telling him that he didn't know he wasn't allowed to pick up roadkill.
Re: Kentucky Chinese restaurant closed after roadkill found in kitchen
Our local chinese restaurant used to open at five for dinner and be closed for a couple of hours during the day to prepare for the evening menu. One day when it was closed a dishevelled chinese guy who look like a drug addict got off the train with a cute blonde labrador puppy. He starts knocking on the front door of the restaurant and they let him in. I then went about my shopping in the village, when I finished i was walking back over the railway bridge and I saw him waiting for the train going back down to the city. He didnt have the dog with him. I am positive that they killed the dog and use it as a meat extender in the food. Why else deliver a pup to a restaurant.
