I suggest you get an immigration attorney before you even come. It costs but it's well worth it. Money speaks here. And welcome. We will be so much better having you here. I'll email you the contact information for our immigration attorney. We wanted to use him but never had the money for his full services. Btw, I see you learned to post images. I hope you'll share that info. with me. Heh! "We are the music makers. And we are the dreamers of dreams." Willy Wonka |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 858876 The easier alternative is to come over on a tourist visa and marry your "other half" and start the citizenship process. A "green card" is the start then three years later you could become a US citizen. <<< Getting a family-based Green Card is a two-step process. The first step is the "Immigrant Petition" which establishes that a qualifying relationship exists between the U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident and the Green Card applicant. The second step is the Green Card application. If the sponsor is a U.S. Citizen and the Green Card applicant is a spouse, parent or minor child who is currently in the U.S., then these two steps can usually be combined into one. Otherwise, applicants must wait for the Immigrant Petition to be approved before they can move on to the Green Card application. >>> [link to www.immigrationdirect.com] Am physical Therapist (physiotherapist) by profession, have worked a lot in companies with anti-stress programmes and also meditation courses, done a lot of educating and also worked with healing, don't know if that will get me anywhere Contact the hospitals there, Carle Clinic is the close big one. Lincoln Il has a hospital also. They are both hiring Physical therapists, and have experience with visas. **I'm all out of bubblegum |

Less crowded, fewer entrenched interests, great scenery, open spaces, better weather, more sun, mountains, deserts, forests, more individualism, more "live and let live" out West. Apollo astronauts couldn't have passed through Van Allen's Belt. Van Allen wore suspenders. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 787778 United States 10/01/2012 06:52 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | OP, I wouldn't pay much attention to those who talk so bad about the US. Truth is I have several friends that have immigrated here from all over, and talking with them always leads to me see the good side of America. That said, how well do you know your 'other half'. I just had one of my friends move back to Holland after a bad experience with the lady he married here in the states. I guess my advise is just to be sure she/he is the one, if not it could turn out to be a costly mistake. |

And the poster with the information on the hospitals, that's real good information in my opinion. If you can find someone to sponsor you like a corporation, it will go a lot smoother. Of course, it might be harder to live out somewhere away from the city, but lots of folks commute. You might miss the ocean but you will find something in nature that communes to your spirit.
