If, for whatever reason, you decided to live mobile,
what items are your 'must haves' for living mobile in a small space?

"1/2 ton trail mix" LoL.

Good knife, 4-season tent, sleeping bag, and magnesium fire starter are likely my top 4.
My dog is a given. ;-`)

Tampons and lighters. In that order.
And the LORD spake, saying, "First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin, then shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who being naughty in My sight, shall snuff it." Amen.

My KERUG coffee maker! I can survive anything as along as I can have a great cup of coffee any time I want one. And it's fresh, hot, and perfectly brewed. Think it could run on a few small solar panels? And can I live in a Range Rover? That wouldn't be so very bad. Room back there for one bedroom and a half-bath, too! Almost!

You know, I actually have a stash of about 3 years worth of make up in case TSHTF and it becomes a luxury. I also have hair bleach, tweezers, deodorant and LOTS of perfume. You know what else I found? Shampoo for dry hair incase of water shortages. And if I need anything else my husband knows how to brew beer.... for trading purposes.

It sounds like you might benefit from roasting your own coffee.

Unroasted coffee beans (green beans) keep well for 6-12 months.

Roasting coffee is super easy.
I keep 50-100 pounds of green coffee beans on hand at all times.
That and tobacco are always trade-able. ;-`)

Yes i agree. Life can take any of us out of our comfort zone at any time, it does not have to be major doom for us to suddenly find ourselves living in a car or a tent. We have a good solid business and a lovely home but also recognise that in this economy, it could all bite the dust in a flash.

I bought two tents (kids) and a car that has space for a double mattress and my dream pot and a kelly kettle - all for just in case. We can use this equipment for camping or should the economy fail and we are homeless. But before i went anywhere i would load up with my canvas's lol unless we were forced to leave quickly ofcourse.

You don't even need those. The stick solar lights for the grass are awesome.. leave them on the back dash all day and they are there for you.

Those tarps they make from CLOTH are awesome.. Sometimes you can find drop cloths made of cloth. THey are heavy enough to use on the side of the car as a lean-to sort of tent, and you never know what else. They fold up and look good too. You can make it tight and swank if you keep it minimalist ..
