Message Subject A question for Reiki masters
Poster Handle miffed

I spoke to a reiki master earlier today about whether or not reiki could help my schizophrenic son. She tells me it would be better if I learned to do reiki myself so I could use it at any time on him & she believes it could help him. Do any of you feel this way also?

Best way to go is nature and to lower the input.
kayaking, bushwalking along those lines but not over stimuli.

The condition makes them sensitive to other peoples emotional waves.
They need to learn to relate more to the natural environment and also lower adrenaline.
All helps to reduce higher ended brain activity and draw from nature.

Even though Reiki works it is a far better option to keep things earthed and grounded, also exercise their common senses and to help defuse imagination.

Sometimes the condition is brought on by shock like a head trauma or they have strained the cerebral cortex, so best to treat it as trauma rather than some emotional disorder.

We go walking & go & sit by the river every couple of days.
He hasn't ever had a head trauma that I can recall but he has had an emotional trauma that I believe has alot to do with his first psychotic episode.
