TEPCO and the Japanese Government have proved themselves far more adroit at lying and "saving face" than anything else. They figure if they ignore this "sleeping dragon" then it will continue to sleep!

When the Russians lost Chernobyl, they were pumping tons of concrete into the mess within DAYS! This fucking thing is still wide open spewing forth its poison after a year or more! WHY it has not been entombed in concrete using remote pumpers if need be, is inconceivable to any rational person!
