You do not know me at all. I am a grandmother, how I have paid attention is to join the school, become a bus driver to activities with my children and grandchildren. lol

I have placed myself as an overseer to children who are around me. If I can do so can you and everyone else. I take pride in knowing when I was an owner operator hauling precious cargo out of 16 years not one accident or harmed any children, and I had the worse route in my county with 4 foot drop offs, narrow roads winding too. So I didn't have a leash on my kids, I was involved in everything they did.

You want to hear a miracle? My daughter was 5 yrs old she was in kindergarten she had to cross the road when she got off the bus. The bus driver got pre occupied and preceeded to roll and my duaghter had her back pack on her left side.
I watched as the tires were rolling and I went livid screamed, my duaghter was right in front of the bus and when the wheels rolled the left front in touched my duaghters left side. She caught her footing and ran to me crying and shaking screaming.

I called the school to report it because I wanted the bus driver to be aware of her mistake. So you know nothing about what I have gone through.

Nope.. sounds like you're doing it right! Mine are a bit younger but I can't imagine them being outside (even at 5 years old) without me or my husband out there with them. We live in an area where there is little to no crime as well, but that doesn't mean I automatically trust that nothing will happen. I'm not trying to blame the parents much because it is easy to get a little relaxed when you live in a good community.
