Anonymous Coward User ID: 10358803 United States 10/02/2012 01:38 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | ASSHOLES who sit on their asses all day eating fake food and pumping all of their wealth, time, and labor into corporations of the ruling elite, all the while whining about how it is someone elses fault (ahem Obama), and under the lazy, wishful delusion that getting up and voting for another guy is going to change their lives for the better. LLLLOOOOOOLLLLLLL!!!!! Quoting: Anonymous Coward 10358803 If you want to get down to the meat of it, the only way anyone's lives will really be changed is with a revolution, be it violent or non violent. But if we continue with your logic in the discussion, how is getting up and voting for either of the SAME guys going to change anyon'es lives for the better? Haven't we tried that for, essentially, the past 100+ years?! Change through the political process is the start of a non violent revolution, that hopefully will at least see some fruit bear. Really, it's only a matter of time before the people decide they're fed up and the violence begins. Probably about the same time they come for your guns. The 2nd amendment isn't safe with Romeny or Obama in office, not in my opinion anyway. What fucking revolution are you talking about? This is a new Era, violent/non-violent are total non issues. As i said, the scum rises to the top any time, every time. Stop thinking that voting for someone is going to change this fact. Political processes won't change it either. Its a totally unavoidable biological reality. 99.9% of the idiots here are whining about banking elite, corporate elite, or Barack fucking Obama and GOVT ruinng their lives/countries, its beyond fucking ridiculous. These are the VERY SAME INDIVIDUALS WHO SUPPORT THESE INSTITUTIONS WITH EVERY LAST DIME IN THEIR POCKETS. I guarantee you most of these people work for/and are paid, or recieve benefits DIRECTLY from these organizations. In an environment like this, the only revolution that can constitute social change is a PERSONAL ONE. We are all the perpetrators; the creators of this environment and social structure are consequences of our daily habits and not an ounce more. There isn't a revolution happening right now. But there will be. .. If things continue down the path they are currently on (and you're deluding yourself if you believe Romney or Obama will change the course), then a revolution may be necessary. You may have come to your own terms that there's nothing you can do about it, but I refuse to just sit and watch it happen. First we try the political way. The steam that has been building for Libertarians and 3rd party candidates this past election year is enormous, in comparative terms to previous years. It is not likely to bring about the results we're hoping for within the next month, but it's starting the process for 2016 EARLY. If after 2016 it continues to be a broken system that ceases to act in the best interest of the people, it is the right of the people, who grant power to those that hold it in the first place, to take it back and alter or set up new government. - paraphrasing the Declaration of Independence. Have the Constitution and the Declaration come to mean nothing to you? (not you specifically, but as a generality) We will never agree on all the small issues, but we should be united as citizens on the big issues Yea, I see what you are saying towards the end. I like the constitution, but there is a problem with many individuals now regarding it with some skepticism; its legacy has been significantly tainted by the realities of chattel slavery. Adding to this are years and years of diverging interests which have largely moved us AWAY from the constitution, as I said, because the scum rises to the top! The constitution was engineered as a bottom up, inverted pyramid, where YOU have ultimate rights over your household, then a great say and influence over your local community, with power and decision making diffusing and becoming more general at the county level, then less so at the state level, than a very general "Golden Rule" enforcing federal government. This way, individuals can move into like-minded communities, in like-minded counties, in like-minded states... Imagine Evangelical christians populating in say Wyoming, and Oregon being filled with total hedonistic bare-footers (not that it isn't already this way), and everyone joined under one flag. That is how our country was designed. INSTEAD, what you have, is fucking idiots running the same loops, yelling about who's in charge either thinking that GOVT is the issue and that economic power is totally safe (Libertarian/republican) or the other way around (liberal/democrat). And you are both fucking stupid and will likely never learn (no offense). |

Smart people never said "Anyone but Bush!". And smart people won't say "Anyone but Romney" in 2016 either. And 5 stars OP. This is the most important political decision that will be made in your lifetime. Unfortunately, the way the US election system is structured, a vote for Johnson is a vote for Obama. Anonymous Coward User ID: 16151153 United States 10/02/2012 01:40 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | ... Quoting: Anonymous Coward 16151153 Do you honestly think Romney is any better? This is what the American people don't fucking get. There is ZERO difference between Obama and Romney. Go look at who donates to their campaigns; the same banks support both sides. It's called phony opposition... making you think that you actually have a choice. When in reality you don't have shit for a choice. Your choice is between what to eat for dinner and what color shirt to buy. WAKE THE FUCK UP. The American people should tell EVERY SINGLE politician to go home and never come back to work, or face life imprisonment and wealth confiscation of their entire family. From there we can start anew, we can vote in new politicians who perhaps might actually give a damn about the average Joe. You know, politicians who aren't owned by the corporate banksters. We should write in stone to our future generations of exactly what to expect when you give private banks control of your money supply. Jefferson warned us centuries ago, but as time moved on and people got fat and happy they no longer gave a shit. It needs to be declared to all, the absolute necessities for freedom to exist for all human beings. So that all may know exactly what keeps them from a life of liberty and happiness. All must know so that this scale of corruption and rape NEVER, EVER FUCKING HAPPENS AGAIN. But when will this happen? During the aforementioned upcoming revolution. That's what they want to happen. That's how they will remain in power... you just don't get it. Look to the French Revolution for guidance. Those who started the revolution were killed, too, as it spread violently out of control. Do you really want that in America? Where everyone and their mother has a gun? We need to unite, and a revolution is far from 'uniting.' Knowledge is a far greater threat to TPTB than our guns ever will be. Spread knowledge, not violence. And before you try to chastise me, know that I too share the feeling of hate and vitriol toward the big money that runs (and is ruining) the world. However, I don't let my emotion control me and can therefore see that the most powerful weapon in our arsenal is indeed KNOWLEDGE. I agree that knowledge is more valuable than firepower. "The pen is mightier than the sword" comes to mind. I suppose I should have prefaced that I am NOT in favor of violent overtaking, but see that in the future it may be necessary to bring about any real change. We think it's bad now, but imagine how bad it will be if we remain on the same path for the next 20 years... what then? I'm a freedom loving, constitutionalist. I don't support senseless violence. But it is my thought, that the only reason we DO NOT have to answer to a direct controlling power, is because the nation is armed. When they come for our guns, and they will one day, is when we need to realize what's about to happen. Hopefully it doesn't happen because we will have stopped it from happening in a diplomatic way. Exactly. If the majority of people just simply realized what was coming up the pike, that is all we would need to have the upper hand. Every move TPTB make is based solely on the fact that most Americans are in a slumber. |
