LOL I live in VA go to the Walmart in my town these people have NO idea what any of that mean I doubt they even care.

This sounded like a good idea until you come up with the threat of taking out their site. To gain credibility, a true protest must be without violence, without crime. You will gain far more gatherers that way and maybe stay on the better side of the media. If you take down the site, you will be a media demon instead of the much needed media darling. I am all for a day where Wal Mart decides to label all sold products' country of manufacture; sell only locally grown produce; No GMOs, antibiotics or hormones in their own brand of food items, etc... But get it done without the web takedown, loud obnoxious occupation, where no one will be arrested, and you could gain some real momentum. You know?

OP: We could get this done ourselves. Here's how:

Approach it as a business venture. I was in a Wal Mart in Coral Springs, Fl and the sign said "Local Grown Produce" sold here in the designated area. When I carefully the state and country of origin in the fruits and vegetables in that area, there were none. I talked to the man standing around who was working there and he said they are not getting the local produce. So you need to do this: Or we need to do this:

1. Get in contact with the biggest local grower of fruits and vegetables for each major city, see if they would be willing to provide local produce to the walmart distribution center near them, then approach Wal Mart as the liason and offer it up.

A WWW petition could be circulated for WAL MART private label foods to be non GMO, non antibiotic, non steroidal food products as many of their cottage cheeses, cheeses, etc. already have this in effect.

And WWW petition for country of origin labeling with a sticker on the package that is color coded and with the letter of the origin of country.

Imagine the money you can make off of the liasioning (sic???) thing with the produce.

If you are up for this I will draft the legal docs for a partnership agreement and incorporate. Keep me informed.

This would never work at my local walmart, as it is the ONLY place for hundreds of miles to buy a lot of different items due to them putting the local competing businesses out of business... The protesters would be few and ridiculed and nothing would come of it. It is a sad situation, but it is true for many many small towns across the USA. Fortunately for many there are other options within decent driving distance, but for small towns in the west where things are spread out (think Nevada, Utah, Wyoming, Montana, etc), walmart is the ONLY place to buy a lot of things.
