Happens a lot.

We had pigs free-range when I was growing up. We were told to NEVER go alone.

If you trip and knock your head and go unconscious, you will be eaten before you wake up.

I meant to add - they don't eat you straight away. But they are curious, and once they make blood appear, then all hell breaks loose - they go NUTS.

this isn't unusual?? holy hell!

Pigs are vicious creatures, they eat their own.

It is actually very common believe it or not.

I will now take precaution around these zombie pigs.

I don't know what you mean by "Bible Signs," because this is not an unusual occurrence. I used to hunt wild boar in Alabama and Georgia and never went out without a full magazine and one in the chamber. Hogs only require 1 month in the wild before they go feral. You are NOT on top of the food chain with 500# hogs running wild.

I just had a BLT this morning and now I'm feeling the bacon coming up, ughhhhhhhhh

Growing up on a farm and attending State Fairs to see the judging of farm animals, one learns a bit about pigs. It would be natural for a mother swine to bite someone who hurt her piglet...what mom doesn't?

Male hogs are rarely seen at a State Fair....they are just plain too mean and difficult to handle with all the people around...at least those w/ their balls still intact.

And NEVER fall down in a sty! They will eat you. I've heard stories that they will eat their own as well, but I can't say that is 100% true.

RIP, dear farmer. I'm hoping a human was responsible (foul play), but I bet that big hog had a lot to do w/ it.

I am young in spirit but not neccessarily in numbers

(still under 60 which is the new 40) AND I have never ever heard of anything like this.. EVER!!

I was just listening to a guy last Sunday speaking on why we shouldn't eat pork. Geezzzzzzzzz I hated to hear that as I really enjoy the flavor of pork but after this story, I think I'll pass.

It's very common for a farmer to be eaten by his pigs? Very common?
