Christ is the Mediator under the New Covenant. (Heb 9:15)
Those who give their life to Christ are immediately indwelt by the Holy Spirit.....and connected to God......and have access to the Father through Christ.
We pray and confess to Him.........not to another human.......nor Mary.....nor saints, angels, etc.etc.
