Re: Question for Romney supporters . . .
I'd like to see health care reform, just not Obamacare which is already targeting the elderly.

Romney supported a STATE run form of healthcare and I'd be much happier with that than this federal monster we now have.

Also there needs to be some kind of tort reform so physicians don't have to pay tens of thousands of dollars in malpractice because of so many frivilous lawsuits. Not all malpractice suits are frivilous of course but there are plenty of them that are.

So to answer our Obama shill question, no one expects a FULL repeal of Obamacare, just the most agredious parts of it and things like jail sentences and armed IRS agents, you know, the personal Obama thuggery touches.
 Quoting: Bluebird

ok, but i disagree that "no one expects a FULL repeal of Obamacare"

most people seem to think he will repeal it all together. sure some realize he won't, but the majority think he will.

this is not an obama shill question. i'm not trying to convince anyone to vote for obama. why is that such a difficult concept for people to understand? i just want honest answers from romney supporters.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 14207070

He cannot repeal any of it without a Congressional vote to do so. A President is not an Emperor -- or at they are not supposed to be.

correct me if i'm wrong but don't republicans have the majority?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 14207070

They do not have both houses. It will require a majority quorum vote in both the House & Senate. The President's role is to sign or veto, but only after Congress takes action.

Re: Question for Romney supporters . . .
hypothetically speaking, let's say romney wins the election.
what will your reaction be when he does not repeal obamacare? he's already said he won't change obama's immigration policy. what's your opinion about that? what will you think about him deregulating the banks? why do you support someone who will further destroy the middle class? will you support him when he goes into iran and other countries we shouldn't be in? how about continuing govt policy of drone usage? i'm just curious because a lot of you act like romney is so much different than obama when that is not reality at all.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 14207070

1.reaction to not repeal obama care ... i believe he will repeal most of obamacare. there might be certain parts he might keep.

2.on not changing the immigration policy... "The people who have received the special visa that the president has put in place, which is a two-year visa, should expect that the visa would continue to be valid. I'm not going to take something that they've purchased," Romney said
: [link to politics.blogs.foxnews.com]

honoring visa's already in place does not constitute a flip-flop. if so please provide the quote and link saying that he would not honor such visa's

3 what will you think about him deregulating the banks? yea i missed the link and quote saying he was planning this. the only quote i find is from CBS.. Romney no one is talking about him deregulating wall street. debatable with what you believe i suppose.

4 why do you support someone who will further destroy the middle class? this question is just Moranish.. and just your opinion not based on anything solid. again link or qoute.

5 will you support him when he goes into Iran and other countries we shouldn't be in? the same as when obama attacked Libya ? or do you mean different if its not your GUY ?

6 how about continuing govt policy of drone usage? you mean the same as obama ?

the difference is one's a communist and ones a capitalist, big differance in my opinion
 Quoting: boilerbengal

sorry i don't have links for you, but you can look up the romney/ryan tax plan and see it for yourself. it's either add to the debt or tax the middle class. as far as iran, drones, etc. being just like obama. yes, that's exactly what i mean if not worse than obama. and again, i know you think you got me by saying obama is my guy, but that just makes you look childish. i've repeatedly stated i'm not an obama supporter. i know that may be hard to wrap your pea brain around since i'm not gushing over romney, but please try not to sound so naive

The first thing everyone needs to do, regardless of who they support, is get a basic working knowledge of how the checks & balance system works. Same with the abortion issue, it is silly that it is an issue in any election -- it is a law & cannot be overturned by a single elected official.

Personally, I hope Obamacare is repealed or seriously cut back, but Romney cannot do that by himself, any more than Obama created it by himself. Congress passed it, Obama signed it.

it's no coincidence that civics classes are a thing of the past. abortion and gay marriage are state issues. federal govt has no business even discussing them, but how else would they distract the masses?

seeing romney win would be an interesting social experiment to say the least, especially if he turned out to be as similar to obama as i think he would. i'm not sure what romney supporters think is going to happen, but they seem to think he will take the country in a drastically different direction

Childish, Pea Brained , Naive - are some reponces i wouldnt expect from a nuteral party just asking some questions ??

Individual Taxes

America’s individual tax code applies relatively high marginal tax rates on a narrow tax base. Those high rates discourage work and entrepreneurship, as well as savings and investment. With 54 percent of private sector workers employed outside of corporations, individual rates also define the incentives for job-creating businesses. Lower marginal tax rates secure for all Americans the economic gains from tax reform.

Make permanent, across-the-board 20 percent cut in marginal rates
Maintain current tax rates on interest, dividends, and capital gains
Eliminate taxes for taxpayers with AGI below $200,000 on interest, dividends, and capital gains
Eliminate the Death Tax
Repeal the Alternative Minimum Tax (AMT)

Listen, i answered your questions to the best of my ability on your thread asking for responses from supporters.

reading thru the responses its fairly clear even though you claim " obama is not your guy" were your leaning.

this is not a word game. it's no game at all.

40billion dollars a month now to buy mortgage backed security's ( QE3 ) .. is the gov't printing out of thin air. and buying my and your mortgage.

communism : all property is owned by the state.

throwing mud at my response does not change what i perceive is truth. if you would like to have a conversation I'm all in.

I've repeatedly stated i'm not an obama supporter. you did post that as i was compiling my post.

40billion dollars a month now to buy mortgage backed security's ( QE3 ) .. is the gov't printing out of thin air. and buying my and your mortgage.

communism : all property is owned by the state.

throwing mud at my response does not change what i perceive is truth. if you would like to have a conversation I'm all in.

i apologize for the insults, i was just getting worked up by being called an obama supporter. that said, i don't think you're getting my point. my point is that romney will more than likely (imo) continue obama's policies and even make the problems we currently have even worse. the majority of his supporters see him as a polar opposite of that, and i'm curious how they would respond to an Obama 2.0

Exactly!

What if Obama had been a good President?
What if Obama kept his campaign promises?
What if Obama didn't lie? What if Obama didn't divide the country?
What if Obama didn't spend nearly 6 trillion dollars in 4 years with nothing to show for it?
What if.....I would vote for Obama!

hypothetically speaking, let's say obama wins the election.
what will your reaction be when he expands obamacare and raises taxes even more? he's already said he wants to let in more illegal freeloaders into the country. what's your opinion about that? what will you think about him bailing out the banks again? why do you support someone who will further destroy the middle class? will you support him when he goes into iran and other countries we shouldn't be in? how about continuing govt policy of drone usage? i'm just curious because a lot of you act like 2012 obama is so much different than the 2008 obama when that is not reality at all.

one last time, we all know obama is terrible. this thread is not about obama. it's about romney, and how he may or may not continue on the path Obama has laid.

is that concept just too much for you? would your head explode if romney turned out to be just as bad as obama?

They do not have both houses. It will require a majority quorum vote in both the House & Senate. The President's role is to sign or veto, but only after Congress takes action.
 Quoting: Lady Jane Smith

i got ya. that said, most people that i talk to (not on this site) that are romney supporters fully believe he will repeal obamacare entirely. i'm trying to figure what the reaction will be when those types realize romney is not the guy they thought he was
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 14207070

The first thing everyone needs to do, regardless of who they support, is get a basic working knowledge of how the checks & balance system works. Same with the abortion issue, it is silly that it is an issue in any election -- it is a law & cannot be overturned by a single elected official.
 Quoting: Lady Jane Smith

it's no coincidence that civics classes are a thing of the past. abortion and gay marriage are state issues. federal govt has no business even discussing them, but how else would they distract the masses?

seeing romney win would be an interesting social experiment to say the least, especially if he turned out to be as similar to obama as i think he would. i'm not sure what romney supporters think is going to happen, but they seem to think he will take the country in a drastically different direction

OP, you sound like yet another paid democrap shill looking to get into a pissing match over hypothetical scenarios to support the continuation of incompetence.

At least you do admit Obama has destroyed the middle class, promoted increased drone usage-- including for domestic purposes, has a terrible/non-existent immigration policy.

If Romney does not deliver, he will be voted out in 2016, just as Obama will be voted out for non-delivery.
 Quoting: Lady Jane Smith

... this pretty much proves that a full Karma bar means nothing.

I can't believe people still buy into the election process.

So what is your suggestion? It must be viable.
 Quoting: Lady Jane Smith

1)Stop all foreign aid to middle eastern countries. In fact stop all foreign aid period for a minimum of 1 year. Lets see how it goes.

2)Close many many overseas bases, move most military home to patrol our own borders.

3) reform the tax code, institute a national sales tax to replace federal income tax

4) lift the cap on wages subject to social security from
110,100 to NO limit on personal level. Keep the Cap only for employer contributions.

5) For US owned corporations manufacturing products offshore, institute tariffs or fees to import their foreign made goods into the country. Help level the playing field.

6) Decrease the amount of paperwork and regulations that it takes to get an SBA loan-it would help small business expand.

7) Increase the loss ratio that health insurers maintain from 50/50 to 70/30, or revoke their non profit status.
To retain non profit status, and increase in premiums to be put for approval before an independent regulatory board.

OH I could go on and on.
