I hope your not wowing over the Web Cam now... A lot of low clouds have moved in since I posted this thread...It was nice and clear before and showed, what looked like clear steam rising around the rim...

Don't know why it was pinned lol, I only posted what I observed on the Cam and the Seismograph at the time...

Re: MT St Helens - 40 Mins Ago Small Earthquake Followed by Steaming Around The Rim
When I was a community college student in Seattle I took a geology course about the Ossciolla (I totally spelled that wrong) mudslide and in it we learned that the three mountains Helens, Rainer and Baker are connected underground. So a major eruption in one of them, if it triggers a large enough earthquake could result in the other two mountains errupting. It was just the professor rambling and not in the text but at the time it made sense to me...

Interesting that the US Postal Service issued Mt St Helens forever stamps today.

Link to article and photo of stamp.

Yeah, I read this on NASA's site after I posted this thread..

Weird how they would put a Volcano on a stamp, I mean, what's the point....

You know, couple of months back, they put a picture of a erupting volcano on something else as well, but for the life of me I can't remember what it was......

No worries, I have checked on a different browser....

CONFIRMED...

All 5 Seismographs for Mt St Helens haven't updated for over 2 Hours now, which leads me to think why??

Could all 5 stations break at the same time OR have they switched them off from our view for another reason...hmmm
