this is one instance where you men don't understand us women.
we are raised to hate ourselves. to hate the way we look. we are never good enough. we never learn to feel comfortable in our own skin.
men EVALUATE us and PASS judgement every time we walk down the street.
we become experts at seeing with our own eyes, but also seeing and evaluating us as men would see us.....but coloured through the lens of self loathing. self denial. self criticism.
men criticize the way women look all the time.
and fat women bear the brunt of this criticism.
men will say the rudest things outright to fat women that they would never say to an obese man, or skinnier woman. men feel entitled to pass judgement, when they are not.
this woman probably has a hard time loving her body and herself because she has been called names and been the brunt of rudeness her whole life. she even said: you think i don't know that i am fat?
men need to love women, because we are socialized to hate ourselves. and if you can't be loving and supportive, then don't say anything...because if you do say anything you are makign it 100x worse.
