It has to do more about the pipeline routes which Syria is in a key position to transport the gas/oil from Iran/Iraq etc. Plus Syria has discovered enormous amounts of gas in their Mediterranean sea part. Resources are always the reason, history/religion always the excuse, but Turkey?syria have some territorial disputes too like the Hatay province etc..

Greeks don't try to reclaim any land that's absurd to say seeing the financial mess Greece is in right now, we just have a defensive army, any escalation you will see involving Greece/Cyprus will be about the resources that were discovered recently. This war will be an energy war, as all the war have been so far.

As stated on 26 June 2012, the Alliance continues to closely follow the situation in Syria.

In view of the Syrian regime’s recent aggressive acts at NATO’s southeastern border, which are a flagrant breach of international law and a clear and present danger to the security of one of its Allies, the North Atlantic Council met today, within the framework of Article 4 of the Washington Treaty, and discussed the continuous shelling of locations in Turkey adjacent to the Turkish-Syrian border by the Syrian regime forces.

The most recent shelling on 3 October 2012, which caused the death of five Turkish citizens and injured many, constitutes a cause of greatest concern for, and is strongly condemned by, all Allies.

In the spirit of indivisibility of security and solidarity deriving from the Washington Treaty, the Alliance continues to stand by Turkey and demands the immediate cessation of such aggressive acts against an Ally, and urges the Syrian regime to put an end to flagrant violations of international law.

i can see nato setting up a no fly zone and a buffer zone.

i can see assad feeling cornered and lobbing chemical weapons at israel.

i can see israel nuking both damascus and assad's mountain command center.

i can see a group or arab nations coming against israel under the pretext that they used nuclear weapons. but really just for their long time hatred of the jews.

i can see i peace agreement put in place after the arab-israeli war.

i can see russia, iran, turkey and other coming against israel soon after to take a spoil. most likely the huge oil and gas reserves just found of the coast of israel.

Darby, these are all probably true, Iran has a vested interest in this,Turkey did factually authorize airstrikes in the last few hours into Iraq, supposedly directed against the Kurds, this is everywhere if you look quick, So i can see why Iraq would be pissed, Armenians border with Turkey has been closed since 1993

Just looked at Syrian Media's tweets - he mostly retweets SyrianCommando. He has also retweeted Steiner1776 & MuammarLGaddafi (two pro-G tweeters who make stuff up)...
