Interesting to see this. The press made a big deal about Putin getting his nose out of joint because Obama didn't call him quickly enough to congratulate him after his election win. This was at the G6 Summit in Mexico City...and I also find it interesting that Charlie Rose - a Bilderberg attendee - had it on his news when I don't remember anyone else reporting this.

A friend in Norway brought this up to me and I will pass it on. Europe, Russia...seem to be well aware of a proposed oil pipeline that will solve any problems for the USA if we get cut out of the Suez Canal and/or the Straits of Hormuz. Completely leaves out Saudi Arabia/Yemen/the Emirates/Iran, etc., and will go through Egypt, the Sudan and on down into South Africa.

I don't think Obama meant after THIS election (unless he hopefully loses) - but possibly he meant that he would not be able to run again AFTER this election and this one is his last one - win or lose. Since Russia is friendly (or as friendly as anyone can be) with Iran/Iraq, etc...am not sure what Putin's big interest in this is - except as a money maker.

Anyone who gets in on this pipeline is going to make a lot of money. Anyone who is going to depend on these whacky African nations to be stable enough for any length of time is also in for a shock. They hate each other, themselves, and most importantly - white people.

To say that Putin and Obama are not friendly is a mistake.

This pipeline was rumored back in the late 60's - early 70's due to potential (and as it turned out, correctly so) problems with Iran and because of the oil boom in Nigeria at the time. May also be why Obama rejected the Keystone XL pipeline with Canada - saying it was not "in the national interest".

Also, just so you all understand, OUR President was speaking about a major agreement with Russia involving nukes and missile defense...

In order to sign this type of treaty the President needs congressional approval...he knew, I knew, we all knew there was no way in hell congressional republicans were going to let him have a "victory" even if it was for the good of the country...

Would you have him say to a fellow head of state "there is no way I will be re-elected so this is all a waste of time. Wait until January and you can talk to whoever beats me"?

He is tellling the Russians that once he is elected and not beholden to certain people for votes then he can do what he wants and not have a complete facade all the time.
