I can't count the number of times these fuckers pulled me over on some desolate road and tried -- usually with success -- to extract money from me. If I was lucky, they would put a chalk mark on my bumper -- so that the remaining checkpoints I went through would already know I had PAID... and let me go without asking for more money. I learned never to travel late in the month -- when their paycheck had run out and they were more likley to need money... There were a few good ones out there... but it is so hard to tell who is who.
