The UN does not "take action", its members do. Did you mean to suggest that Turkey will draft a resolution to the General Assembly, perhaps? Or ask the US to discuss it in the Security Council? Ask your source what they mean or try to formulate your headline better. lol

dont worry my friends it all over ım a turk and ı can tell the story from inside,my govorment announce that we make a few artilerry shot to syria and told us that they defend country and now from turkey everybody is relax and sleping in our beds and tomarrow morning only they planning to make out a decesion of act from parlement.and it will be samething to like that in my peaple's eye "if ever happen samething like that we will make more artilery shots"

Guns turn towards Syria

Syria strongly condemned NATO for bombing the Turkish city Akčakale. Alliance warns Syria to stop "aggressive actions against member states." Kimun Ban urged Syrian government to respect the territorial integrity of its neighbors.

Ambassadors from NATO member countries and after an emergency meeting of Syria strongly condemned the shelling of Turkey and persistent violations of international law.


Turkey's military said yesterday opened artillery fire on targets in Syria and thus responded to the shelling of Turkish Akčakale, that killed five people.

Ambassadors are deeply concerned and warned Syria to stop "aggressive actions against a member state," as well as "persistent violations of international law," according to a NATO statement.

Urgent and extraordinary ambassadorial meeting was convened at the request of Turkey, which invoked Article 4 of the Atlantic Charter, which is activated at the request of the Member State whose territorial integrity is threatened.

Although, as transmitted by the Western media, there was a fear that yesterday's incident could serve as a pretext for NATO intervene in a civil war in Syria, ambassadors have refrained from invoking Article 5

Article 5 states that "Member States agree that an armed attack against one or more of them in Europe or North America shall be considered an attack on all members."

In yesterday's attack by the Syrian army in the city Akčakale in Turkey killed five people, including three children, and wounded nine others. From Syria, two grenades were fired, and it is assumed that they were fired by the Syrian army, which threw the rebel positions along the border with Turkey.
