Now... meh. i'm just happy to be alive on this planet. sure there are bad things and bad people. but there is also good in the world and there is peace in nature. does a tree take all of the nutrients in the soil to survive depriving other trees of those nutrients? no. a tree only takes the nutrients it needs to survive. if you can find a way to come to the realization that all you need in life is to live and love others, then you will be truly happy. money corrupts people. money and material things. when we die, we can't take all of the money we have to heaven or all these material items we collect. when we die, we just become a pile of bones and are equal to every other dead person. everyone just becomes a dead pile of bones who are all equal to each other (except ancient Egyptian corpses who have become mummified remains preserved from mummification along with some other cultures). |

Now... yeah i have had similar expieriences im voting for Quoting: Anonymous Coward 24909968 Ron Paul. OP you cashed in on the housing and maybee even the dot com bubble and now your pissed and blame obama? i mean WTF I dislike obama and his policies as much as the next guy but he isnt the total blame for everything bad hes just another tool. i liked GWB dont get me wrong so when i tell you it was Clinton that started the shit that made things SEEM prosperous dont get pissed. and before Clinton there was a long line of repubs and dems who have been selling out the people of this country. Its simple we need to get back to free market and constitutional principals neither Romney nor Obama represent that so FCK the lesser of 2 evils vote and fight for what is right. I would still rather be on the moraly right side than the winning side I agree in fact in my Original post I said "Don't give me the it is all Bush's fault, because I don't buy that! Nor do I think that it is all Obama's fault! I believe the main reason (there are many others) for the mess we are in is due to the laws that came into effect in the late 90's early 2000's that forced banks to loan money to people with no jobs, or mortgage a house that they could not afford." I know all about the Clinton policies, and those before him! Ron Paul, I love that man, but I am not sure that I can waste my vote. I cannot help Obama stay in office by not voting for Romney. He is better then many of the Repub. choices we could have gotten. Besides, I think Paul Ryan rocks! I wish Romney would announce his cabinet and include Ron Paul as Fed Chief! but if you help Romney you would just be perpetuating the same old same old id rather vote my conscience and see Obama get a second term simply because the repubs will realise that we are sick of their BS we want true free markets and constitutional rights nothing more and nothing less. the repubs ignored and maligned Ron Paul and when they did that they were doing the same thing to me i want them to know i want a free market and a constitution. please vote for what you think is right NOT just the lesser of 2 evils untill people in this country have the courage to do that things will continue to get worse. |

Now... When Bush was President I owned two companies (one with my husband), his had up to 75 employees and mine up to 4. Quoting: RightMama We owned @ least three homes from the years 2000 to 2009 (rental, personal and @ least one spec at all times). We had a average credit score of 835, mine was higher than my husband's :0) AND NOW... Closed one company and bankrupted another in 2010 (we were treading water from 2007-2010). One was building second homes, another was a restaurant. Short sold (feel good word for forclose) 2 houses, and had a third forclose on us. My husband and I are both in school full time about to finish up degrees that we never finished when we were younger. We also both work full time for under $10 an hour. We get food stamps and medicaid for our boys, Federal Pell grants for school, and subsidized student loans as well. By Dec. of 2013 we will both be graduated and hope to make at that time around $60k (gross) a year (if we can both get full time work). It still seems like yesterday that life was simpler and less stressed, when I could go to the store and not have to check my bank account every time before leaving. I miss that life!!!! I BET YOU CAN'T GUESS WHO I AM VOTING FOR???!!!??? Don't give me the it is all Bush's fault, because I don't buy that! Nor do I think that it is all Obama's fault! Can't wait for the debate!!! So you overextended yourself and didn't save for the future? Quit your fuckin whining. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 24152885 Sir, You mistakenly assume that because I had "mortgages" that I didn't have any ownership in my home or money invested. Credit cards were paid OFF every month, yes we used them, you have to in a business, but once a month the balance was paid! Lottery winners don't do that! Our rental home (30 year mortgage) was 8 years away from being paid off when it was foreclosed on. Our spec home was worth $1.8 M when it was built. Our mortgage for that spec home was $435k and when we short sold it we owed $180K. This is a spec home essentially a second home! Our personal home had a mortgage of $320K, and when it was short sold we owed less than half of that. We made double payments many months on all of these houses. These were just the homes that we owned when we lost it all. If the housing market hadn't collapsed we would have made a lot more, we had invested everything into our business. This was our money that we WORKED FOR and EARNED. There was no lottery winning. My list of items (some toys, some business equipment) was for someone that said that I should have been paying cash for items which we did, many items. Work hard play hard!! RightMama |
