Breaking my vows of secrecy for you

I have them all the time, dozens per week. Sometimes dozens in a day and have been doing them for many years. Just doing it a lot doesn't seem to make any difference as far a lengthening them goes.

What specifically does it take to set up a flow of energy to power an OBE?

I do know of at least two other specific tricks which help but I'm testing you to see if you really know what you're talking about and can give a better answer than just a hand-waving "practice makes perfect" type of answer.

Again, continue practicing, and it will become natural. It must become a daily natural habit. Then you will gain more power and control every moment. You will become more lucid, and obtain more details and vivid experiences.

AC....please please please share your knowledge. I've been looking for "tricks" and techniques for years. And all I've found we're people saying exactly what you referred to "practice makes perfect". But I know there are people who know more - way more than the books out there. And I've read tons of books, listened to "masters" and practiced techniques for years....

The clock for this measurement really doesn't start until you start using a technique that actually works.

For the 1st few months I was at it, I wasn't using methods that worked. When I started using the timer method I had immediate results, as in being able to have several OBEs in one session.

I have spent the past several days reading this thread. At first it didn't resonate ... I try to use discernment ... but very quickly, I realized you're one of the "good guys".

Two things come to mind after reading everything you've written. First, I worry about you and others trying to help people, i.e., that you're somehow being fooled or tricked into thinking you're defeating the others and that things will be better. If you are somehow winning the battle, then I'm also concerned for your safety.

Second, do SSRI's (antidepressants) permanently damage the pineal? If so, how much can I really get practicing meditation, astral travel & OBO's if I'm hopelessly addicted to Prozac for 25 years? I was put on this despicable drug after a particularly difficult break up when I was young and have been unable to successfully withdraw permanently without debilitating side effects. Several doctors have just told me to "stay on it" since I don't have any problems except when I try to wean myself.

Can I still "know my real self" and achieve necessary states of spirituality or am I ultimately stuck now?

Any suggestions or information would be greatly appreciated.

Please allow me to help you. I am fighting on the side of SolarSon, but I am in exile myself. Off the radar is the only way to fight right now.

You need to do a detox of your entire being. This means some sort of retreat of 30 days where you are surrounded by nurturing hippie types and eat only organic foods, meditate, get massages, etc.

You need a 100% cold turkey disconnect from your current life and your attachments to it.

If you start asking around, you can find something like this. I have no suggestions - you need to find it yourself, because THAT is step one.

Before you actually go to the retreat, step two is to see a naturopathic doctor who does acupuncture to get you detoxed and balanced.

Step three is to find some activity, weight lifting, drumming, yoga, hiking - WHATEVER - that can replace your addiction. Just THROW yourself into it like it's your job.

Your brain chemistry is currently poisoned and the withdrawals could be catastrophic if you don't take these steps.

Don't listen to any of the alopathic (Western murderers) "doctors" you've been going to. Their job is to make you a slave.

Unfortunately, I can't really 100% disconnect from my life for 30 days (or even a week). I have a husband, a job and a young child who needs me.

I do realize my brain has been somewhat damaged by Prozac after all these years. That's why I asked OP if his recommendations of regular practicing of OBE's, meditations & astral projections are still possible for me (and if so, how?)

If not able to focus my possibly damaged third eye because of this, am I just going to be left behind?

I read everything so far and I really like what you propose here, even though I dont believe in anything specific you mentioned ;)
I am pretty young and only recently started my journey for truth (Beginning 2013)
I talked a lot with a friend(A) about conscience and other stuff and two days later I had an awakening experience while high. ( A feeling that everything is connected and every question I asked my self, the world answered in different forms (music i heard, advertisement i saw and anything else I perceived)
Since then I read a lot about various topics trying to make up my mind.
I experienced some kind of law of attraction, several other friends showed signs of expanded knowledge and their search for truth.
Friend A does no drugs and searches within science and math about his own conscience and the world. I talked with him about the experience he provoked in me and I vividly remember something he said to me which weirds me out even now "i told you what you had to know". He hates freemasonry and seems knowledgeable in similar topics.
I have another friend, he likes weed and shrooms. I dont know his specific believes but I think he follows the philosophy that we are all the same, the universe experiencing itself. Ego death supposedly shows you this.
Friend 3 shows no signs of ego exploring etc. but is deep in his conspiracy theories, NWO etc. His point being that we are controlled, brain washed by the media.
I myself was always open minded with a muslim father and christian mother.
I practice lucid dreams since my teenage years, it is just so ever fascinating for me.

I am just suddenly aware of all the people in the world like my friends locally or worldwide on the internet that are seeking for some kind of meaning and truth in the world which lead me to the philosophy you preach here:

Start small.

"Start where you are"

Firstly, It sounds like you have a longing for spirituality. Count yourself fortunate, you're already ahead of most people in that first step!

Secondly, don't beat yourself up over things you can't change right now. If you wait to change those things before starting your journey, you'll never get to your 'destination'.

Thirdly, I liked that you mentioned meditation, astral projection, etc. Just know that people who aren't on meds also have trouble astral projecting, meditation and third eye work!

The nice thing with meditation, is that its the simplest of all of those. Start small. Try setting a timer for 5 minutes. Give yourself the gift of stillness. The mind wil chatter. That's normal. Even seasoned meditators will tell you this. It's just the mind "doing its job". Don't control anything. Just sit and "be" for a few minutes every day. Some people like to focus on their breathing- feeling the breath from the nose, thru the belly, out the nose. Some people like to just sit and LISTEN to thei inner world. Some people like to focus on their third eye. Play around with different echinacea and find YOUR way. There are lots of great resources on meditation online. But the best advice is - just do it! Wen you feel comfortable with the five minutes - maybe after a few days or a few weeks, move on to ten minutes.

Good luck. It's crazy busy with a young child. But please don't ignore YOU.

So are we destined to be workhorses of varying degrees of comfort, to serve those higher aspects endlessly?

What is the goal? When do things feel right again? This funhouse feels endlessly tiresome.

I took part in this thread when it was young, but lost track of it long ago, my last post was on page 12 I think.

Since then, I have been making some progress. Firstly, I have learned how to induce Lucid dreaming since I found this site:

There is a particular simple method they call 'SSILD' that has worked wonders for me, with almost embarrassingly little effort on my behalf. They recommend waking up in the middle of the night to do the exercise, then go back to sleep, and say it won't work if you do it before going to bed. I don't obey the advise, and it works for me anyway.

I still have a long way to go to master Lucid dreaming, but I am at least motivated to keep at it. I consider the power to stay Lucid in dreams essential, since if you can't even keep your consciousness intact during sleep, what hope could you have to not be unconsciously recycled in death?

I take it as a matter of personal 'pride'. My consciousness is mine, and I'm not going to allow it to slip away into oblivion from sheer laziness any more! It's pathetic!

Anyway, my longest and most intense Lucid dream so far was an epic struggle with some kind of 'gatekeeper' who was trying to scare me off by trying to trick me into manifesting all kinds of nightmarish scenarios.

I was sent back to the Dinosaur age to be eaten alive, but I transferred out. Now a car was slamming into me at full speed, but I raised my hand and split the metal open. Now impenetrable walls were closing in on me, but I took a deep breath and willed myself to a nice beach.

This struggle went on and on, and I woke up exhausted and exhilarated at the same time. Afterwards, I realized the 'gatekeeper' is an aspect of myself; it is an emotional aspect that is used to owning the dream state for itself, and which does not appreciate my more rational aspect blundering in on its domains, attempting to take charge.

I'm working on making peace with that aspect.

Other things that have happened include dreaming about uniting with a 'soul mate' into a single being, and seeing hundreds of other incarnations as statues hanging on a wall in 'my house'.

And I had a Kundalini rising experience, where I was completely immobilized, and energy flowed up my spine. Previously, I have experienced a tingling movement, but this time it all burst through, and flooded out of the top of my head.

But in between these breakthroughs, I get extended periods of nothing at all happening. The progress is sporadic, and so is my putting out any significant effort. It's an inner struggle, where a part of me wants to pursue this path, and another part can't be bothered.

I don't really know why I post this, perhaps I just wanted to put my current state in virtual ink so I can see it more clearly for myself.

There is ONE big question I have for you though:

Why all the secrecy? Why all the rites and secret handshakes? Why the muddled talk? Why the riddles?

This aspect of your story makes no sense to me, even though I do get most of the message otherwise.

I have read most of your thread and so far nothing you have written has not already been said. I like your style and you use great examples to explain things, but it has all been said.

For some here maybe what you are saying is new or the way you write helps them now resonate with what was said before but for whatever reason could not understand then.

Can you tell us something truely original, something that we would not have heard or known. Something so simple that if we grasp it in an instant all will change. Because truth is so simple. It does not need long explanations, and it is so powerful that in an instant you are changed forever.
