This is the question on anyone's mind who is paying attention to the election. Quoting: Rebelucio No...I think the more obvious question is...why the hell are we here arguing over either one of these useless assholes instead of banding together and ousting every last fucking one of them? |

I'll have to concede that, yes, your question is more pertinent. However, if we are going to come to the conclusion of ousting these corrupted politicians, then we must point out the hypocrisy within the principles they hold thereby gaining support for our cause. Indeed. This whole fucking place has gone mad fucking bananas. Who gives a shit about these two lying puppets. The only one picking either of these are those that NEED to pick a 'winner' to feel better about themselves. Neither one of these halfwits are winners, and we all lose when we have either one of them in the oval office. Our country can't be turned around by voting for either of the hand selected candidates. That's futile. The only salvation is doing the opposite, going against the grain. Collectively uniting and backing something totally out of the status quo. |

I can't wait for another two years to find out where the liberty movement stands. I'm optimistic here in Texas. We've come a long way since Ron Paul ran for president in '08. Our state chair used to be Ron Paul's lawyer. He runs an extremely fair convention. I think we're pretty much done all we can for this election cycle. I'm voting for Johnson because I like him. He probably won't win, but that's not my concern. I'm worried about the legislation that will come in the next four years and how to resist it. How do you think we should go about uniting and what kind of candidate should we back? Love thy enemy. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 24797199 United States 10/05/2012 10:33 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Fortunately, we live in a constitutional republic. (We technically don't live an actual "democracy," but most people don't know the difference anyways lol.) This means that much of our day to day lives is governed by local and state govt. If you can get enough decent people elected in your local and state govt., that would be all that would matter. Unfortunately, we've fallen from the design of our Founding Fathers. Instead of having a federal govt. that focuses on general things, like maintaining a national currency and trade with other nations, we have one that has long since overstepped its boundaries, pervading our daily lives. |
