New Fanged Dwarf Dinosaur Found—"Would Be Nice Pet"
A new, tiny dinosaur with vampire-like fangs devoured ... plants?

So says a new study of Pegomastax africanus, a 2-foot-long (0.6-meter-long) heterodontosaur that lived about 200 million years ago.

Heterodontosaurus was a genus of small, fanged dinosaur species that were "scampering around between the toes of other dinosaurs at the dawn of the dinosaur era," said study author Paul Sereno, a National Geographic Society explorer-in-residence.

"The world will soon wake up to the reality that everyone is broke and can collect nothing from the bankrupt, who are owed unlimited amounts by the insolvent, who are attempting to make late payments on a bank holiday in the wrong country, with an unacceptable currency, against defaulted collateral, of which nobody is sure who holds title."

Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.

The majority of extinct 'dino' species were smaller than a goat. Like all the extinct apes we find today in the fossil record they were just extinct species.

I'm amused that this thread gets attention a day later.

Re: New Fanged Dwarf Dinosaur Found—"Would Be Nice Pet"
it has fangs, but the rest of its teeth and jaws are 100% herbivore. has a beak in front of its mouth like a triceratops. wouldn't make a good pet because mammals didn't exist yet. mammals not being that friendly in the first place, coming from a reptilian world it could only be a cranky little bastard. the fangs are probably only there for defense, like the quills, meaning it would be just as inclined to attack and bite you instead of running away.
