Luminant will proceed with the implosion of the third unit at the Luminant North Lake Power Plant on Thursday morning, October 4, 2012, if the weather and other necessary conditions are favorable. The implosion will occur sometime before 11 a.m. A large number of law enforcement officers will be present to secure the immediate site. The safety radius does not reach Belt Line Road, however, the roadway will be closed to all traffic during the actual implosion. You may hear a loud noise and see a dust cloud. The Luminant Community Relations Office can be reached at community.relations@luminant.com should you have any questions. There will be no public access.

Stealing this
The hour has already come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. Romans 13:11

And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved. Matthew 10:22

Wake up, oh sleeper, and rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you

This boom happened at 9:40 though. But there has not been a reported time of when this implosion will go off. But that should not be heard all the way east to Garland.

I was outside my warehouse in Carrollton at that time this morning. It did sound like a building blowing up. Scared the crap out of me and all the birds in the area. They all took flight and flew toward Lewisville. Looked in the sky for a dust cloud or smoke and saw nothing anywhere.

The loud boom(s) were at 9:40, the implosion happened after 10am.

"Police cleared the area and a siren sounded for several minutes. Just after 10 a.m., the building began to lean and then crumbled in front of a handful of people who pulled over to watch."

Heard a huge boom in Central Texas about 10:20ish pm tonight. It was heard all across town. It sounded like a cannon outside, or a house exploding. It shook many houses. The city checked transformers (even though it was much louder than that) and said they were fine.
