Quoting: andy (uk) 1582847 Obama will continue as president, no matter what happens he will be there next term. Come back and prove me wrong if he loses..... even if romney wins, it will be more of the same. we'll still have obamacare, we'll still be bombing other nations and the police state will continue to get worse. and that's only a small bit of it |

Obam looked scared, looked weak, like he didn't even want to be there. I think if there were Independants watching, who are occasional news watchers, who don't follow the day to day grind, Romney came out looking really well. Which is the demographic he needed to connect with. With that said, for me though as a Conservative, some of the things Romney said worried me. Was it just Romney trying to pander to Indys, or was this the real Romney? He said he wanted to use the principles of his Mass. healthcare model as a model for the nation. That shocked me. I don't want those principles. All of a sudden he is for funding all the popular government programs Obama mentioned....Which I also don't like. Just because an idea or program is popular, doesn't make it good. He said he would lower tax burdens, also add 2 trillion to military spending, and not borrow any money.....how is that possible? He didn't describe enough spending cuts or loop holes to close to offset the add to the deficit. To me, besides jobs, our debt is the biggest issue. It WILL crush us if durastic measures are not taken to cut spending. All in all, it was a great night for Romney, especially in the independant demographic.......but to me he sounded like he shifted quite a bit to the left. Which is what I have been afraid he would do. |

If you're correct -- and you're not -- at least America will at least be respected again. Obama's failure with the Economy is only eclipsed by his failure with Foreign Policy. The last four years have re-affirmed the old adage, "It's better to be feared than loved." . |

What he will be is a FISCAL CONSERVATIVE, and that matters far, far more to me, and Americans as a whole. |
