Re: Media In Full-Blown Freak-Out Mode After Epic Obama Fail! - DNC ad: "Romney Wasn't Nice!"
In my view, it is quite obvious that Mitt smacked Obama around. Obam looked scared, looked weak, like he didn't even want to be there. I think if there were Independants watching, who are occasional news watchers, who don't follow the day to day grind, Romney came out looking really well. Which is the demographic he needed to connect with.

With that said, for me though as a Conservative, some of the things Romney said worried me. Was it just Romney trying to pander to Indys, or was this the real Romney?
He said he wanted to use the principles of his Mass. healthcare model as a model for the nation. That shocked me. I don't want those principles.

All of a sudden he is for funding all the popular government programs Obama mentioned....Which I also don't like. Just because an idea or program is popular, doesn't make it good.

He said he would lower tax burdens, also add 2 trillion to military spending, and not borrow any money.....how is that possible? He didn't describe enough spending cuts or loop holes to close to offset the add to the deficit. To me, besides jobs, our debt is the biggest issue. It WILL crush us if durastic measures are not taken to cut spending.

All in all, it was a great night for Romney, especially in the independant demographic.......but to me he sounded like he shifted quite a bit to the left. Which is what I have been afraid he would do.
 Quoting: *Heisenberg*

I KNOW Romney isn't going to be a Social Conservative, no matter how hard the media tries to paint him as such.

What he will be is a FISCAL CONSERVATIVE, and that matters far, far more to me, and Americans as a whole.

I care more about fiscal conservatism than social conservatism.

But he talked like a fiscal liberal to me. I mean no doubt he is a better choice than bammy, IMO. I just saw a huge shift to the left, and that is honestly what I have been expecting him to do. Even in fiscal policy. He was all for spending on the programs Obama spoke of that were popular.

I am all for cutting taxes. Ideologically I am for cutting taxes. But you can't cut taxes add 2 trillion to military spending without massive cuts to the government. It just isn't possible.

So he will either

1)Create deficits and add to the debt

2)Raise taxes elsewhere to cover it

Unless there is some 3rd option I don't see?

HOW DARE HE SPEAK TO OUR MESSIAH IN THAT MANNER!!!

Was Obama coked out during the debate?
He was lost without the teleprompter, and even kicked the podium in frustration!

For the first time, Americans got to see Mitt Romney free of the Mainstream Media Filter. When the Moderator tried to cut him off to save Obama, Mitt wouldn't let him, and continued to drive it home. Even Obama begged the moderator to save him. That didn't work, either.

Honestly Obama acted like he is defeated, already. Their internals have to be showing the truth not the fantasy the propagandists are claiming.

I loved it, Romney got the chance to speak in prime time and present the facts. Prime time is usually skewed regurgitated DNC talking points that have nothing to do with the state of our Union.

Americans got to see the unfiltered Obama last night, too. Runaway ego, unable to deal with the problems America faces, just repeating the same old, tired campaign lines over, and over again.

I've worked for CEO's like Romney before. Driven people, who will slice and dice you before you even know you are bleeding out on the floor. Those kind of people, who tell it like it is, without sugar, engender loyalty in their employees. A rising tide lifts ALL boats.

If you enjoyed the Romney/Obama debate, you're gonna absolutely LOVE Ryan/Biden...

HANG IN THERE, AMERICA, CHANGE IS COMING!!!

I'm a Gary Johnson supporter, and I'm still a Gary Johnson supporter, but I definitely feel better about the prospect of a Romney Presidency now...

Romney looked both human, and very Presidential. In fact if you hadn't known better, you would have thought he was the President, and Obama was some flunky up there.

Obama got schooled, he looked like the amateur that he is...

No doubt he destroyed bammy, and scored points...but that really concerned me.

Is he really that far left, or was he pandering to a general election audience? Or were his primaries pandering to an ultra conservative audience? Which Mitt is the real Mitt?

Well, first off, they always do that. Hard Right in the primaries, hard Center in the general election.

Also, when he talked about Obamacare, he mentioned that the 10th amendment allowed for the States to decide how they spend these dollars. I didn't get anything particularly "leftist" out of what he said.

He also talked about how the country had to rely on the private economy for any real growth, and he did point out that everything Obama said was simply "More Government".

So while it wasn't fire breathing conservative, I think it was pretty damn conservative compared to the current regime...

All this said, I'm still voting for Gary Johnson, but I'm in Texas where Romney will win by 10 to 12 points, so I have the luxury of voting my conscience...

So which Romney can I expect if he is elected? This center/left (in my opinion) that we saw last night? Or the more conservative Romney we saw in the primaries?

Before I vote, I would like to know who I am voting for....

Most people don't pay enough attention to even realize there is a change of tone between the primaries and general elections, their first exposure to Romney without a MSM filter was last night, and I think it went very well for him.

But Remember, he was governor of Mass, and they don't exactly grow Fire Brand Conservatives on tree's in Boston...

As a fellow Libertarian, you were not bothered by his massive shift to the left? Watch the primary debates, then last nights debate. He took large steps left.

Which is what drives voters crazy. Remember how Obama tried to act like a centrist? He said he was a uniter. Not left or right...

lol that turned out to be a huge lie.
