What is an oath?
I am a conservative white guy and I tend to vote republican but have voted for democrates as well - I vote for whom I feel will do what's best for the country - not necessarily for me personally at any given time. I was raised to believe that whatever is good for our country is eventually good for me. Please do barrage me with all the "our country is a farce" crap - I am well aware of the game we live in..... but we do live in it and there are certain realities for most of us - that have affected past presidents but don't seem to hold true for this one.

All presidents take an oath of office which basicaly says that they swear (used to mean something) to protect and uphold our Constitution. An 'oath' used to mean - I swear by whatever I hold dearest to my heart - that I will ....

Our Constitution is only as good as

1) Those who are in power to enforce it are willing to do so and
2) When they enforce it they do so based on what any normal reading of the words would render in meaning - divoid of their own personal wants or agenda.

An oath is only as good as:

1) However stong the "thing" is that the person taking the oath is pledging allegience to in their "sworn" words and
2) An underlying belief that there is some remanent of integrity to the person who is saying the words, ie, I may have lied in the past but by all that I am - I mean what I am saying now and believe it to be true.

President Obama in this last year only has:

1) Granted amnesty to certain portions of a race of people who are in this country illegally - a direct violation of federal law and absolutely in direct violation of his authority as President under our Constitution.

2) Just in the last few weeks - directed federal defense contractors to NOT obey federal law under the Warren Act which requires them to notify their employees 60 days in advance of a possible layoff. By law, due to the CURRENT law which directs the cuts to the defense budget on January 1, 2012 - those notices should be going out no later than October 31, 2012. While congress MAY get it's act together and cause those cuts not to happen - What they MAY do has no bearing at all on the law as it IS now. The law can only deal with what is - not what might be.

3) Referring to number 2 above, President Obama has authorized the OBM to send out a memo to the defense contractors stating that in return for them violating federal law - the OBM will offer to pay any legal fees they, the defense contrator, may incurr as a result of any lawsuit from an employee who did not receive lawful notice under the Warren Act. Again - this is the President of the united States - in public - offering to use federal tax dollars to pay for legal defense of federal defense contractors who may incurr those costs by breaking federal law at the direct request of the President of the United States.

4) This president - as others have done - took the USA into battle and attacked another country (Lybia) without clear cause and totally without approval or even concent with our elected representatives in congress. In spite of the fact that he absolutely promised that "he would be different" and not do that. I voted for Bush but hated that he took us to war in Iraq and Afganastan. This guy said he would be different. I didn't vote for him - but he still said it and as my president I can still hold him accountable for it.

I could go on and on folks and this is just the stuff that easy to come by in the MSM - there is TONS of it that isn't really that hard to find in you want to be educated.

My point is this - You may be from either party and I don't care. But if you have any sense at all and choose to be honest with yourself - I cannot see how you can possibly think that this current sitting president has any desire at all to do what's best - for the country. How could he? He doesn't even care about the oath he took, with his hand on a Bible. He has no integrity at all with me. When I see his mouth move - I know he is lying for his own self interest.... he has already proven that in the examples I sited above. Mitt Romney could likely do the very same thing..... but I would rather vote for someone who has YET to show me that they will break every law in the book and totally disregard their oath - than vote again for one who already has !!!!!!!!!!!!
