I agree!

Look at the bright side though...the more queers and liberals that die, the better off society is in the long term!

There's something up here guys, this just doesn't make sense.

The refinery fire in Northern Cal was a month ago at least, and they're also adding in a power outage from the Torrance refinery as an excuse?

I say Bullshit.

I'll bet this turns out to be something much bigger.

No, any disruption in refinery production is catastrophic because we don't have enough refineries to meet demand even at 100% production...we actually pay foreign countries, with no EPA laws, to refine oil for us because we can't do it.

We DO have a shortage...it is REFINED fuel.
Brief is right about the refineries issue..

this is a 1-2 year issue folks starting NOW...
this is NOT an overnight resolution...

Prices will be driven up to "slow" usage and UNbranded sites will feel it first..

Contracts will first go to branded sites first...
Unbranded sites will have to HUNT for their fuel and when they can get it will cost so much it will NOT be worth them opening up...

Start planning...

East Coast next...started last weekend...yoda

No re-supply until mid October.

[link to www.fox5sandiego.com]

Is this some sort of way to acclimate the public to rationing?
Prices are going up, went up 13 cents over night at the Arco by my home in San Diego... if this is true I'm sure we'll see hoarders and price gouging.

Yeah but didn't we, just recently, have a glut of oil pushed into out country from Saudi Arabia and people were speculating that it was gonna cause prices to fall right before the elections?

It was supposed to give people this false sense that everything was improving.

What if the military just put in a huge order that we don't know about? I mean, a ton of our ships and air bases are IN San Diego. Now all of a sudden San Diego runs out first?

Seems highly suspicious to me.

I filled up the tank this morning before work at 4.26/gal, when I was driving home I saw signs saying 4.99.gal.

Something's up.

The amount of oil is irrelevant at this point...we could have ten billion barrels of oil waiting to get refined into gasoline and diesel fuel...without refineries, it may as well be piles of horse shit...

Obama has vowed, and is, killing coal...he'll kill the economy, which was built on petroleum, in order to worship satan, who wants you to worship the Earth instead of God...

I have solar and wind power to continue supporting my family when the grid goes down...

Gas is 3.99 a gallon here.
 Quoting: amywood71605

Sorry Amy but your salaries over there are like $20K less than you can get just 2 states over and pretty soon even good old VT will be feeling it.

$3.99 is INSANE for VT. But sadly, you guys better get ready to see $4.50 sooner than later. And unfortunately the green mountainers will have to take on a 4th job. It's sad!

Amy, no harm intended. Love the green mtn state and so sad that even that last haven is being affected. But we all will be if this type of shortage becomes REAL. forget head for the hills. Unless you plan on walking. And then the people in the hills will have their own cr@p to deal with.

Hopefully times ahead are not as bad as I think they will be....
