Interesting. You know I was noticing that nobody around here has garage sales anymore. It used to be that every Saturday there would be tons of signs for them and parking lots set up with them flea market style.
Then I noticed that everybody goes to Goodwill to shop and not to individual yard sales.
Our Goodwill Store is huge. It is always jam-packed every day of the week. I went in for the first time in about a year looking for hand painted single plates of china from Bavaria, Hungary and Austria. I found lots of great pieces there.

I guess people here gave up and just donate to Goodwill after nobody shows up.
It made me have a different opinion. It makes it where the person doesn't make money off his own stuff, he can only buy more at a cheap price.

Geeze I don't know. We studied it pretty extensively in Copyright law class, but I couldn't tell you the dates. Do a google search or something. I know one big one was about reselling comic books.

But the previous cases set precedent, so I doubt "tariffs" will screw around with it.

Like I said. People are always challenging this stuff. Just because it's going to court doesn't mean shit. A couple of years ago, there was a case about reselling digital content on physical medium. It was over pretty quick.

P.S. This case is a little redundant and I don't see how it got this far. The whole point of the protection of the Right to Resell is that the copyright holder has been compensated once for the original purchase and from their on out it becomes product. The whole right is based around copyright so the fact that is foreign doesn't mean shit either. We have international copyright law. And ontop of that, our copyright "treatise" are largely ignored going both ways. On top of that, China is the largest copyright violator in the world. We'd never do anything to appease them. Seriously. Don't worry about this.
