I don't buy it, the higher prices and all.
OK, I get the shortage thing, there may be issues with a few refineries.

BUT, why an increase in price, oil companies didn't pay more for crude there selling now, refineries aren't paying more for refining fuel there selling now. So why is fuel costing more money?

Gouging, I say, can't these oil companies just sell gas at the same price regardless of the refining issues?

...and price gouging during a crisis is against the law.
