This is probably related.

The internet here has been going on and off for some time now, it started this morning around 6am 4/10/2012. Its comming and going, I have never had anything like it before in my whole 10 years or so of using the internet.

I have been looking around a few froums and people are having the same problems all around the world today/yesterday.

No hes not, I have seen the same thing here in the midlands. The blue flash which lit up my mates whole street. This was around the start of this year around the time a metior shower was going on. I cant remember the name of the particular shower.

As for people saying its lightning....Its about 7-12*C here all day and the day before that.

You could still get Lightning though Brother/Sister.

I've seen similar in the past, though I am not saying for definite this is what you have seen.

I have seen the same thing before the metior shower, 2 flashes about 1-2 mins apart with no noise at all. Living in the midlands this is not possible, its one of the highest points in the UK. I have never seen lightning without a faint roar of thunder.

This year I have noticed I have had no thunder and lightning, even when we had the heat wave. I was waiting for a big thunder storm as I love thunder and lightning but there was none :(.

Yeah its raining here atm, but there is no heat to turn this into lightning. Let alone being in scotland where it's mostly cold around this time of year.

It has been a little peculiar in that respect - I have only seen/heard Thunder Storms twice this Summer, though I did hear the loudest *Bang* of Thunder I've yet experienced some time earlier in July - The whole house shook so bad I thought it was a earthquake!

I'm in the South-West(Bristol).

I'm not sure if heat is always necessary for Lightning - Lightning is a strange phenomenon that to this Day is still being unraveled.

Something fishy is going on in that respect. There have been to many fireballs and ufo's appearing. The little ones before the big one springs to mind lol. As for people saying "this is impossible" no its not, if a dense part of the (photon/interstellar energy/precession of the zodiac)hits the oort cloud or asteroid belt, it will surely destabalise the orbits or comets, asteroids and metiors.

Only time will tell. :)

Have been watching that a lot lately, there was one a week or two ago which left a signature across the horizontal axis 2 times the whole width.

Do you know how long the spike of a meteor stays on the screen?

Scientists are to mimic black holes in a laboratory as part of a £2.35m project looking at how matter and energy interact.

A team at Heriot-Watt University on the outskirts of Edinburgh will produce laser pulses whose energy is measured in trillions of watts.

Nothing to do with this is it??

Shows for me. If it shows along the horizontal axis it shows distance, the vertical axis shows height. The other axis shows time.

Something tells me that that experiment fucked up, as they would not let us see the flashes if it was in containment.
