The people and groups who claim to be "diverse" and "tolerant" are such as long as you agree with them, I find. The minute you disagree with them you are labeled a hater, racist, homophobe, etc. If you admit you're a Christian, just watch the intolerance fly!

Those of us in this world who are Christian believe in the Bible and God's word, and with that a certain set of morals and ethics. Now I know that morals and ethics are very passe in today's world of degradation and "anything goes," but just because we disagree with homosexuality does not mean we hate. Just because I disagree strongly with Obama doesn't mean I'm a racist. Granted, there are folks out there who consider themselves to be Christian and say very hateful things; I'm not condoning that, but nobody is perfect and that includes Christians.

Also consider this: homosexuality is being glamorized these days and more kids are "coming out" because it's the cool thing to do. I'm not saying that all kids that say they are gay aren't, but I think a vast majority say it to get attention and rebel. For example: the high school kid featured in my nephew's yearbook whose photo tagline was "Too gay to function!"

In reality, this is actually a win win situation. Boy Scouts keeps its unyielding Christian reputation/the boy gets nation wide recognition for being discriminated.

This kid will probably get a job a lot faster from a pro-gay/liberal company/corporation now that he has publicly been shunned. Good for their agenda, good for his career.

I would love to think that the ignorance shown in this thread is just a minority and not an accurate representation of public opinion but I am being proved wrong on this stance time and time again.

I think this just shows once again that those of us in the LBGT community are just second class citizens. We can do what you do, as well as you do, but since we are different in the bedroom we are not worthy of recognition.

Most parents would not want their children exposed to homosexuality at a young age..when they are all confused anyway as young teens.

If you look at percentages, the catholic church pales in comparison of your child being molested by a man versus in the public schools, or sports programs for that matter. Funny how the media works, you don't hear about it when it is their agenda (public schools, NAMBLA (North American Man/Boy Love Association)) doing the far greater molesting, but they don't stop shouting it from mountain tops when a very small minority of sexual abuse happens in an instutition that actually stives for good values.

I do compare the two. I rate Christianity a lot worse though, if you were even half the loving Christian that you claim to be you would have empathy toward this kid. Gay people don't hurt anyone by being gay, it's not a choice. But you choose to be Christian and you choose to hurt people with that choice.
