My prediction, by March 2013, 25% of all walmart will be closed. Seeing the child tax credit is reduced this tax season, at least 47% wont be buying goods from them come refund time.

Stinking Walmart is a corporation that pays slave wages to hard working people. Walmart has been in trouble more than once for their treatment of their employees. I'm sure they can afford a higher wage.

Because working at Walmart is soooooooo hard! Give me a break. Go do some manual labor and realize what hard work is.

I can tell you from experience. I was in management in the 90s. Walmart will close a store completely or however many stores it takes before it will let workers organize. And they should. Unions are soul sucking dirtbags.

I don't care what you think! The last place I'd want to work is a Walmart. They take advantage of people by paying slave wages with little incentive to grow. Most are now UNDER-STAFFED, because this corporation is reaping all the benefits and giving their employees under what they deserve. I mean, come on, minimum wage for the bookkeeping position? That's ridiculous!

I had to chuckle when I talked with a manager this past summer. Wally's sales have dropped tremendously, because people are keeping their lawn mowers and maintaining them, instead of buying new ones. The prices on everything dropped, except food. They are higher fewer staff now, so the workers are over-burdened. YES, I HATE WALMATE! The greedy bastards!

It depends what you do there. Cashiers have the least amount of work.

My cousin use to be a Cashier at Wally World, she worked there because of the benefits since her husband was self employed.

She made 18.00 an hr, and had great medical, dental and vision benefits as well as profit sharing and matching 401K Plan she left 5 yrs ago, not sure what they do now...

try unloading trucks by hand from 4 pm till 2 am and tell me it isn't a lot of hard work for less than eight bucks an hour

I guess, if we all had that attitude, we'd all be getting minimum wage and workig 12 hour days. Walmart gets what it deserves for the treatment of their employees.

She worked there 15 years...I do not know what she started out at, but I know that is what she left making 5 years ago.

I worked for WM for a short period, I was promoted once, and offered another promotion just as I was about to quit for another job.

The reason most people at WM don't get "incentive to grow" is because they're completely useless. There is no incentive because there is no potential in them to be anything but minimum wagers.

All depends on where you work in the store.
I worked there for seven years altogether.Last time I worked in the tire shop for $8.90 an hour.It is a hard physical job when you are always short handed.Fuck you guys and your pro wally world attitude.Go fuckin work there and then lets see how much you like them.
