It does seem Mr. Romney is going to take the cheese and be our new POTUS. Even the Atlantic joural and the NYT have articles showing him surging in longstanding democratic areas. It's a crazy year for politics and the unemployment ticking up even by such a small margin today doesn't do Mr. Obama any good whom I really thought had this thing wrapped up a few weeks ago. According to Silver. It is all over. Obama victory certain. Obama in the states he is leading in currently would give him 271 electoral votes. 1 more than you need. Silver says Romney has 206 electoral votes based on states he is leading in. That leaves 61 electoral college votes in the battleground states. Even if Mitt won them all he still would not have enough votes.

Look for every silver or trippi you have a Rove or Morris. But when the left leaning papers note a Romney surge in traditional[or at least longstanding} democtratic turf it doesn't look good for Prez. Obama. It's going o be an interesting evening on tuesday either way.

Re: Good Bye Obama
putin

I seriously wouldn't count an ANYTHING until its over.

The elite are the ONLY one's who matter, and its THEY (NOT YOU) who will pull the strings on who wins.

So...whomever the ELITE choose to win, WILL WIN. Since they are both funded by the same banking cartels, I would assume an intelligent person who is aware and who has thoroughly researched each candidate would come to the inevitable conclusion that your vote is of little relevance.

Also...always remember this. There's also that little thing called the "electoral college." YOU MIGHT WANT TO UNDERSTAND HOW IT WORKS before you get too excited in your "assessments" of who's going to win. wink

But...far be it from me to throw LOGIC into something which is the equivalent of a soap opera.

You know how Americans are though...THEY'VE GOT TO HAVE TEAMS. They've got to have something to ROOT for, or AGAINST. Dems/Repubs, Conservatives/Liberals, Cats/Dogs. You name it, they want to fight about it.

Americans are especially easy to fool because they hardly ever realize, despite all the blatant evidence, that the outcome is FIXED...unless of course, it was THEIR perceived candidate that loses. Ever noticed that? The idea of conspiracy is usually born from when a person doesn't get their way. If they win, then everything went as planned and there's no conspiracy...just, what should have happened. BUT...IF THEIR CHOICE LOSES, then...there must have been dark forces working behind the veil to prevent your choice of psychopath to have taken the presidential position...RIGHT?

Here's the truth: Its all FIXED regardless if your choice of MASTER gets voted in or not. Here's a more blatant truth: You're ALL GETTING SCREWED no matter whom you voted for. Therefore, its funny to watch you vote your rights away...WILLINGLY. Its quite the phenomena to watch from an outside perspective.

And...YOU GUYS NEVER GET IT. It NEVER occurs to you that you're being tooled. Its really quite hilarious and a very simple design...yet, every 4 years its as if Americans have been memory wiped.

So, the way I figure it...either HAARP and MIND CONTROL is REAL, or Americans/people have the memories of a fish. Take your pick. Because to me, it could only be one of the two...or, a possible combination of both.

I wish we truly could say goodbye Obama next week. But I just don't see it. The polls are consistently showing this as a neck and neck race. That wouldn't be so bad. We'd have a chance. But this is going to be the most corrupt, crooked election in American history. And to the libs who will invariably reply "Yes, the Republicans will cheat," fuck off. We've already seen several incidents of Romney votes being magically turned into Obama votes by your commie-Venezuelan voting machines.

If the polls were showing this as a blowout for Romney, I'd be happy. But "neck and neck" is so within the Dems margin of fraud that I don't see how we're going to pull it off.

The number of people that do not understand how a President is elected is alarming. Polls have not much to do with it. Popular vote has not much to do with it either. It depends on the States and the number of electoral college votes (determined by the Census)

Obama leads in the right states. Mitt does not.

Re: Good Bye Obama
Fact:

The GM Bailout

Destroyed some of the most important laws and precedents. In order to "save" GM and Chrysler without benefiting wealthy investors, the Obama administration broke the law. It abridged the clear contracts of Chrysler's secured creditors (stealing their collateral and repaying them pennies on the dollar) and broke bankruptcy laws by awarding far more benefits ($17.8 billion) to GM's unionized creditors than it did to the company's bondholders ($8.1 billion). The inequities of these grants have gotten far worse over time, thanks to the privileged status of the union's GM-preferred stock, which pays a 9% annual dividend and consumes the lion's share of the company's operating profit.

The government wasted hundreds of billions of dollars in capital to save a company whose products are mostly sold in other markets and aren't competitive in the U.S. And in doing so, it destroyed several hundred years of legal precedent that provides the foundation of capitalism in America.

No matter what else you believe about the importance of GM or its workers, that wasn't a good decision. That $200 billion could have (and should have) been spent in a far more productive way. In time, the profound consequences of these poor choices will become abundantly clear.

GM will go bankrupt again, that's almost certain. It is, even as I write this, heading straight back down the path of borrowing enormous sums from Wall Street. It has re-launched its financial division and is, once again, making loans and leases to people who can't afford its cars. It is, once again, selling huge quantities of poorly made vehicles to rental-car companies, which wipes out the resale value of its automobiles and makes consumers far less likely to pay full price for them. It is, once again, "stuffing" the channel – forcing dealers to buy too many cars that they can't sell. It is doing all of the same things that drove it into bankruptcy the first time… the very same things.

One last point to ponder… all of the information above is public information. It is all part of the public record. How many of the candidates or members of the media are willing to discuss the plain facts of this situation? What does that mean for the future of our country… where even public investments of this size and magnitude are not understood or discussed openly by all serious media outlets? If we can't figure out what to do with our carmakers… how will we ever figure out what to do with the world's most powerful army… with the world's largest debts?
Background of my avatar: [link to en.wikipedia.org]

The religion of submission cannot survive an open and honest discussion of its convoluted and foolish scriptures, its sexually perverted terrorist prophet, or its deceitful and demented god. When Western leaders become unified and resolute in their hostility to Islam's violent and ungodly beginnings, Muslims will flee the religion because they will be horrified by its endorsement of terrorism, mass murder, slave trading, plunder, kidnapping, and rape.

If Muslims & their apologists really want to cure "Islamophobia," here is an easy way. Focus their indignation on Muslims committing violent acts in the name of Islam, not on non-Muslims reporting on those acts.

Ecclesiastes 10:2 “The heart of the wise inclines to the right, but the heart of the fool to the left.”

We are all born ignorant, but it takes a lot of work to keep looking the other way to remain stupid.

Islam is not a race - the racism rant is lame, used by the intellectually lazy to derail the debate.

If you think Romney is going to be better than Obama you are absolutely kidding yourself. They are both backed by the same globalists. And Romney supports NDAA, let's not forget that. I don't support either. I think either way we are totally fucked. Neither one has any plans on fixing the economy. We are on a sinking ship either way.

Bush told us Iraq, Iran and N. Korea were the axis of evil. He told us Iraqis would welcome Democracy. He told us to report our neighbors if we are suspicious of them. He denied the extent of the Domestic spying program.

OP, thanks for the good thread, Obahmah is going down, not to say that the next guy can right our sinking ship!hf

People have been changed by this administration. At first they were very proud, then they were very manipulative, now they act humble.

My family always votes differently, we are all encouraged to think for ourself. Noone tells us what to think. Obama tells people what to think instead of how to think. That is a problem for me.

Ahh.. forgot. He told us for months that Iraq had WMD and possible nuclear weapons. He had Colin Powell get up in front of the security council and talk about Mobile Biological factories that were on flatbed trucks.

Obama will be reelected by electoral vote. He'll then pass another executive order that he is to be treated like a god and bowed down to. Sad thing is, most people will.

Have no idea what you mean by this. It is amazing People just seemingly forget what a disaster GWBush was. He was the least popular President at the end of his term in History.

His policies almost ruined this great Country. It cost 300 million a day to fight in Iraq. His policies led to torture and hatred of the US all over the world. He trounced on the Constitution. Our freedoms were attacked more than all other Presidents in History combined. He policies allowed for a "secret" Domestic spying program.

Oh.. and he was warned Al-Q was going to attack and did nothing about it. He was warned over 100 times from April 2001 to August 2001. It could be argued he allowed the attack to happen.

In Benghazi 4 people died.

So far over 4000 US service members have died in Iraq. Over 100,000 civilians and that is a conservative estimate some have over 500,000 civilians as having died. In a war that was based on lies.

To me the most troubling thing was his allowing of torture. It never crossed my mind that the US would resort to torture. Or keeping people detained without due process for years.

Am I missing something? Did Obama stop torturing people? NO

In other words, it was the position of the Obama administration that even though the Supreme Court had found a constitutional right for detainees to challenge their confinement, detainees had no constitutional right not to be tortured while in confinement. The Obama administration also insisted that it was not sufficiently clear that the Constitution prohibited torture of aliens, and so “a reasonable officer would not have concluded that plaintiffs here possessed Fifth and Eighth Amendment rights while they were detained at Guantánamo.”

Name one documented incident of torture under Obama. Just one. He was smart enough to realize that nothing makes people hate the US worse than the images of torture.

You forgot to mention this part from your article.

"As a candidate in 2008, President Obama stated categorically, “We’ll reject torture — without exception or equivocation.” During his first month in office, he made good on his pledge, signing an executive order prohibiting torture or inhumane treatment. There is no reason to doubt that the order has been followed. This was a huge step forward for the United States."

I forgot to mention.. as impassioned as I am about this election mostly has to do with the fact that a lot of the hatred and vitriol is based on old fashioned racism.

I also think that your basically right. People are basically voting for the same thing either way. It is presented as a choice. We all will be voting for basically the same thing no matter which party we decide on.

These people are ultimately just figure heads and are puppets of who actually control the strings.
