Look for every silver or trippi you have a Rove or Morris. But when the left leaning papers note a Romney surge in traditional[or at least longstanding} democtratic turf it doesn't look good for Prez. Obama. It's going o be an interesting evening on tuesday either way.

I wish we truly could say goodbye Obama next week. But I just don't see it. The polls are consistently showing this as a neck and neck race. That wouldn't be so bad. We'd have a chance. But this is going to be the most corrupt, crooked election in American history. And to the libs who will invariably reply "Yes, the Republicans will cheat," fuck off. We've already seen several incidents of Romney votes being magically turned into Obama votes by your commie-Venezuelan voting machines.

If the polls were showing this as a blowout for Romney, I'd be happy. But "neck and neck" is so within the Dems margin of fraud that I don't see how we're going to pull it off.

The number of people that do not understand how a President is elected is alarming. Polls have not much to do with it. Popular vote has not much to do with it either. It depends on the States and the number of electoral college votes (determined by the Census)

Obama leads in the right states. Mitt does not.

Which papers exactly do you speak of? The NYT has called the election for Obama.

The Salt lake tribune endorsed Obama. Not a good sign for Romney.. the Newspaper in the middle of Mormanville does not support Mitt.

The GM Bailout

Destroyed some of the most important laws and precedents. In order to "save" GM and Chrysler without benefiting wealthy investors, the Obama administration broke the law. It abridged the clear contracts of Chrysler's secured creditors (stealing their collateral and repaying them pennies on the dollar) and broke bankruptcy laws by awarding far more benefits ($17.8 billion) to GM's unionized creditors than it did to the company's bondholders ($8.1 billion). The inequities of these grants have gotten far worse over time, thanks to the privileged status of the union's GM-preferred stock, which pays a 9% annual dividend and consumes the lion's share of the company's operating profit.

The government wasted hundreds of billions of dollars in capital to save a company whose products are mostly sold in other markets and aren't competitive in the U.S. And in doing so, it destroyed several hundred years of legal precedent that provides the foundation of capitalism in America.


No matter what else you believe about the importance of GM or its workers, that wasn't a good decision. That $200 billion could have (and should have) been spent in a far more productive way. In time, the profound consequences of these poor choices will become abundantly clear.

GM will go bankrupt again, that's almost certain. It is, even as I write this, heading straight back down the path of borrowing enormous sums from Wall Street. It has re-launched its financial division and is, once again, making loans and leases to people who can't afford its cars. It is, once again, selling huge quantities of poorly made vehicles to rental-car companies, which wipes out the resale value of its automobiles and makes consumers far less likely to pay full price for them. It is, once again, "stuffing" the channel – forcing dealers to buy too many cars that they can't sell. It is doing all of the same things that drove it into bankruptcy the first time… the very same things.

One last point to ponder… all of the information above is public information. It is all part of the public record. How many of the candidates or members of the media are willing to discuss the plain facts of this situation? What does that mean for the future of our country… where even public investments of this size and magnitude are not understood or discussed openly by all serious media outlets? If we can't figure out what to do with our carmakers… how will we ever figure out what to do with the world's most powerful army… with the world's largest debts?

Fact.. Romney is going to be charged with breaking Federal Election Laws for hiding money he made off the auto bailout.

People have been changed by this administration. At first they were very proud, then they were very manipulative, now they act humble.

My family always votes differently, we are all encouraged to think for ourself. Noone tells us what to think. Obama tells people what to think instead of how to think. That is a problem for me.

Bush told us Iraq, Iran and N. Korea were the axis of evil. He told us Iraqis would welcome Democracy. He told us to report our neighbors if we are suspicious of them. He denied the extent of the Domestic spying program.

Ahh.. forgot. He told us for months that Iraq had WMD and possible nuclear weapons. He had Colin Powell get up in front of the security council and talk about Mobile Biological factories that were on flatbed trucks.

And, we'll rub elbos on those too.

Obama will be reelected by electoral vote. He'll then pass another executive order that he is to be treated like a god and bowed down to. Sad thing is, most people will.

His policies almost ruined this great Country. It cost 300 million a day to fight in Iraq. His policies led to torture and hatred of the US all over the world. He trounced on the Constitution. Our freedoms were attacked more than all other Presidents in History combined. He policies allowed for a "secret" Domestic spying program.

Oh.. and he was warned Al-Q was going to attack and did nothing about it. He was warned over 100 times from April 2001 to August 2001. It could be argued he allowed the attack to happen.

In Benghazi 4 people died.

So far over 4000 US service members have died in Iraq. Over 100,000 civilians and that is a conservative estimate some have over 500,000 civilians as having died. In a war that was based on lies.

To me the most troubling thing was his allowing of torture. It never crossed my mind that the US would resort to torture. Or keeping people detained without due process for years.

Name one documented incident of torture under Obama. Just one. He was smart enough to realize that nothing makes people hate the US worse than the images of torture.

And O has kept Gitmo operational - another lie and another continuation of Bush. He is the same, just talks different

You forgot to mention this part from your article.

There is no reason to doubt that the order has been followed. This was a huge step forward for the United States."

Do have a bit of a point here.. although it must be said not One state wanted those prisoners. Quite a bit of has to do with Republicans policy of not agreeing with a single thing Obama wanted to do.

I forgot to mention.. as impassioned as I am about this election mostly has to do with the fact that a lot of the hatred and vitriol is based on old fashioned racism.

I also think that your basically right. People are basically voting for the same thing either way. It is presented as a choice. We all will be voting for basically the same thing no matter which party we decide on.

These people are ultimately just figure heads and are puppets of who actually control the strings.
