Why did it take me 8 years to finally realize that sending my two children into primary state education was probably the worst decision I have ever made as a parent.
As from last week I have decided to home school my 9yr old son and we've never been happier!
This is a personal opinion I have of the education
my children have received, there are undoubtedly 'good' schools and teacher's out there but unfortunately not where I'm looking.
(If you are responsible parents) You send your kids into primary school as well balanced, more than likely above 'average' intelligence for their age, affectionate, bubbly, children.
After a few years in the educational system, guided and taught by money motivated adults who have no 'genuine' interest in the well being of your offspring, they become bitter, resentful and unbalanced.
Schools are so quick to promote their Ethos';
" happy children learning in a happy environment"
" cultivates an atmosphere of safety, friendship and respect"
" provide a safe,secure,welcoming and nurturing environment where everyone is valued equally."
" help children to learn that courtesy, good manners and consideration for others are very important qualities"
and other quoff that is easy to say but seems to be very difficult in practice, to a lot of people.
How many people would opt for home schooling their children if it was a viable option?
