Extend the panel and the eye and secure to a window. Take and dress up the part the light is fixed to with a pony or batman picture. I put one in the bathroom and 2 in there room. The don't give off a lot a light but enough to see at night and with the photo eye they only turn on at night. Never have to worry about turning the lights off cause the kids left them on. |

After a bad storm a few years ago several were damaged and in order to get the grid back up as quickly as possible we "harvested" solar cells from outdoor lamps. Empty'd B+Q's entire stock and then spent 2 days and 1 night repairing the relay's, not easy when they were up in trees, on top of telegraph poles, roof's etc. If you're going to use them outside completly encase them in resin and they will outlast the purpose built types. The homemade ones have been the most reliable ones to date. . |

Way to go OP, I'm going to make one big enough to power an iPad. Quoting: Redpaw360 We lost him for a week.... hope he doesn't electricute himself as well. Now that's funny. Actually I'm going to start the project in a week or so, I'm currently swamped with contracts right now and can't get to posting ads on Craigslist for used solar garden lights..... I'm going to try to build this unit as cheaply as possible and get people to basically give me the solar cells instead of tossing them out....if the cells work, that's all I would need.... Zzzzzzaaaaaaappppp. Oregon Constitution Article I, Section 27 The people shall have the right to bear arms for the defence of themselves, and the State, but the Military shall be kept in strict subordination to the civil power. |
