Russia CAN be seen from Alaska! I have never understood why it's a joke. Perhaps the uneducated laugh because Sarah Palin said it. She's not stupid! Quoting: Anonymous Coward 24945571 I know it's possible but Tina Fey said it on SNL. 90% of the population believe Palin actually said it. A comedian on a television show that airs at nearly midnight during the weekend created opinions, policy and changed votes. That is the horrible joke that's not funny. Seems that's what happens to those who do not pay attention and just react.
