Arrogance is a part of the natural man, and thus, the natural man is prideful, vain and rebellious. However, there is a major difference between arrogance (a prideful state) and surity (experiential knowledge).

Most of the self-professing Christians have no idea of what CHRIST taught, nor of HIS Walk. They think that just an emotional belief is all that is needed, a mental acquiesce is all one needs. They dont know that we are to die to self (ego, selfwill, vanity) and to let YHWH change our hearts through spiritual circumcision. But we also must remember, that although the world places self-professing Christians on a higher platform, and watches them more intently so as to determine whether or not the Christian lives up to the measure of standard (CHRIST JESUS being that measure of standard) set forth, that we too are still caged in our mortal, sinful flesh. Although Christians should indeed follow (imitate) that measure of standard exemplied for us (CHRIST JESUS in the flesh), many fail to do so, because as has been stated, like human's aging through time, from infanthood to maturity, so too does the Christian walk, and often times, because of the cares of this world, gets caught in a stage of growth, and refuses (or deems themselves incapable) of going any further.

I guess my question back to Monty and others who are so opposed to Christians is...Why do you place Christian's on a higher platform, expecting them to be perfect, demanding they be sinless, and denying they are human beings just as you are? That they are fallible, and are still able to fall along the way?

As for self-professing Christians, indeed, I hold my Brothers and Sisters up to a higher standard than non-believers of CHRIST JESUS and YHWH. I do so, because we are Commanded to do so, and because we are to be fashioned as a new creation, a light to the world, and the salt of the earth. I too expect to be held to a higher standard than the worlds ways, and if I stumble, if I fall, if I fail in my duty, I too should be rebuked, corrected, and given edification. A man does not know he has sinned (committed error) or is in a state of delusion if it is not revealed, because we all have tendencies to think more highly of ourselves than we do others, and to think ourselves more righteous than we think of others. This is one area of the church that definitely needs to be confronted.

All christians are the same.
Be that catholic, protestant, lutheran,etc, etc, blah, blah,

I expect nothing more from you than I would expect of myself. I even hold myself to a higher standard than I hold others. My family and friends say I am a perfectionist of sorts, being more focused on my own shortcomings than of anyone elses (the mote in my own eye is larger than a 1000 ton barge). Yes, when I do wrong, and I know I've done wrong, it paigns me to know that it might have caused even the slightest discomfort towards anyone else. But what paigns me even more is to know that I have disappointed the ONE Who gave HIS Life for me.

You see, I cherish JESUS so much so, that the thought of spitting in HIS Face, slapping HIM, kicking dirt at HIM breaks my heart, and every time I fail, and do not repent of it immediately, it is as if I have done the above right to HIM. As David said, "I am chief among sinners", because I know better, I know what is expected of me, and still, I am caged in this mortal, sinful flesh, and still fall short of YHWH'S Blessed Glory! There have been threads I've bookmarked so that I could go back and review your posts for the purpose of having Bible studies based on your comments and the scriptures you posted. You're far ahead of me on many teachings pertaining to the Bible. I'm only just beginning to find the hidden manna.

It's even harder for me to find people who believe as I do where I live, because I reside in a predominantly Catholic nation. I have to go online to find people to talk to.

I get it, but I dont know if I can explain it, without hurting the sensibilities of others. When trying to explain some things, I do not speak as man speaks, but I have been given a spirit of bluntness, boldness, and some see that as condescending, which it is not meant to be.

There is only one thing that is not "tolerated" in our world today, and it isnt "churchianity", but True Christianity, which has no time nor patience for compromise. So when one states that JESUS is the ONLY Way, the ONLY Truth, and the ONLY Life...and no one can go to YHWH but through HIM, the world sees that as a "my god is better than your god" arrogance that is to be drowned out by cries of hypocrisy, intolerance and condemnation. So the only way they can attempt to quiet those they are opposed to is to begin nitpicking at every error, every word, and around every corner, so as to intimidate the Believer into silence.

But the world is very much tolerant of the compromising Christian that says all religions are the same, that there are many ways, and that no one holds the Truth.

Did I offend anyone's sensibilities? If so, take it up with CHRIST JESUS, because as HE said, HE spoke what was given HIM to speak, and I follow the example of my LORD.
