| Anonymous Coward User ID: 12948908 10/05/2012 02:51 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Dubstep is pretty versatile so if most people looked hard enough I guarantee they'd find a few they enjoy, wether if be an original piece or a cover of a song they already loved. On the topic, there's tons of dubstep sounding genres within EDM already and newer ones blowing up in popularity. As a conspiracist website I expect most if not all of you to be open minded enough not to condemn an entire genre because you heard a single song. Like it said, its vast and versatile in its sound. Most mainstream dubstep has that industrial, robotic, skrillex type sound that I could see most people being turned off from. Skrillex isn't anywhere near the best dubstep producer just because he has a grammy. I'm positive he was chosen to bring dubstep into the mainstream intentionally because he looks like a super dweeb and his style is easily mimicked and pretty generic, forcing people to have to yield to the "popular" sounding dubstep rather than keep innovating. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 24978774 I will listen to the first video and give you my opinion..... Ok, I listened to the Excision tune. It did nothing for me. It was monotonous, boring, and unimaginative. Are you kidding?? There are 10,000 rock songs better than that shit and even trance music and disco is better. FAIL!!!!!! |

Just heard a song called "Ready or Not" by Bridgette (something - shes on Nickelodeon too). This "new fresh tune from Bridgette" is pretty much a direct rip off a song from 1996 by the Fugees (Lauren Hill sing it). And the Fugees totally ripped it off from someone in like the 1960's. So our current pop music contains like 3 or 4 generations of nothing but rip offs! All that being said, yes OP, it does have a solid rhythm (why the fuck shouldnt it? Its made by a computer). So in the right setting I could see dubstep being very appropriate background music. |
