I have plenty of 50 year old friends who smoke and drink. Your body is fairly adaptable, you will only notice problems if you suddenly stop. Some people can some people can't. |

I plan to suddenly stop and go on a water fast. I'll report to GLP how that goes. |

Remember people the revolution starts with you. Sorry my mistake. Revolution starts with R. Change begins with.....nope that begins with C Hold on I am sure I will get this. Progress begin....damn. Oh I got it Youthfulness begins with you, so do your part and be childish And remember you can not spell awesome without ME. |

You are under the illusion that you are healthy because there are so many unhealthy people around you. Compared to a Shaolin monk or qi gong master you are weak and pathetic(not meaning to insult you) Westerners have a heinous outlook of what 'health' is. The tri fecta. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 19587272 United States 10/05/2012 06:46 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | That's true, isn't it? And yet I've heard of recent medical studies that say HEAVY drinkers have longer life expectancies. Not just a glass of wine a day, but heavy drinking. Look it up. I'm drunk now... The same medical authorities that tells us that mercury amalgam fillings and mercury-laden vaccines aren't harmful? The same "authorities" who tell us that eggs are worse for you than smoking? And organic food is no better than non-organic? Moderate drinkers live longest (glass of brandy a day), then heavy drinkers. Teetotalers drop dead early. No actually non drinkers just never get included in the studies because they are never sick and never go to the Doctor |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 300884 Sweden 10/05/2012 08:04 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | My granddad smoked all his life. When he was 65, he had only 20 % of normal lung capacity left. Walking was like running a marathon for him. He could not even stand up straight more than a few seconds at a time without getting short breath! His slow death in a hospital bed at 71 was a drawn-out struggle for oxygen. He had tubes up his nose, but was choking for lack of oxygen anyway. Just lying there was more than his body could handle. Have fun wasting your body! |
