The tribe of Judah (true Jews) were disinherited due to their rejection of Christ .... he even gave a 40 year probation after His death (30 AD) for the nation to repent.... then Roman general Titus (70 AD) layed siege to Jerusalem and sacked the temple as Christ prophecied.

Thus the next to inherit was Ishmael and his descendents.

The apostle Paul likened Jerusalem to a bondwoman (fleshly, not spiritual) at that point and knew it would be a stumbling block to the world.

No doubt there are plenty of ley lines and energy points leading to Jerusalem as a leadership command center for the world.
