There's also several plant species known to create elements within them - without the element ever being present in their air or soil. Last Edited by SE on 10/05/2012 02:31 PM |

It only strips the cloride off a solution of ALREADY EXISTING gold in salt form. There of fungi that survive off radiation in the old Cernobyl reactor, these bacteria are not anything great, just decomposers as is their place. The fungi are impressive, these bacteria are not. The ionic(salts) bonds would have broken on their own leaving metallic gold anyways. |

You aren't creating it, it's already there. You're just getting rid of the other stuff and that is what you're left with. Still neat none the less. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 21619507 Yes and yes.... A small outfit could make some money going back through old tailings, recovering the last 10%. anyway, where the price of gold is now, any technology that extracts now, what they couldn't extract before can be a moneymaker. |

I contend that we are both atheists. I just believe in one fewer god than you do. When you understand why you dismiss all the other possible gods, you will understand why I dismiss yours. |
