HELP! I Need anyone or even everyone's opinion on what I should do to find out if I've been infected with this! In June and July I had to have 3 epidural back procedures, and also 1 RF procedure (rf=radio frequency). Each time you get this done you don't get just 1 epidural shot. I had 8 each time. Then the RF is where the sever a nerve so you no longer feel the pain.
Do I contact the doctor who performed the procedure? Do I contact the insurance company? Who do you suggest I cal???
I'm fairly new to GLP so any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

Fungal meningitis is not contagious... no doom here. move along. move along.

if i am not mistaken, and i might be, but isn't spinal meningitis contagious?

when i did my basic at ft leonard wood, a guy across from me died from spinal meningitis.
 Quoting: thetrickybigguy

Some types of meningitis are contagious and very serious--like the ones that spread in barracks. This fungus is present in every refrigerator more than a few years old, and occasionally causes lung or skin diseases--usually amongst the immune suppressed folks. Fungal meningitis is definitely NOT contagious.

i bought a new refrigerator 10 years ago when i bought my condo so if that is the case what can be done to guard against this becoming a problem, and a very serious one at that?

i clean the inside throughly every month, anything else?

I just had three done in July and Aug in NJ. No confirmed cases here but the needles were. I was real sick a few weeks ago, but got better. Now my back is hurting more than normal. I didn't even get out of bed yesterday but sometimes that's normal for me. I'm sure I'm fine, but I'm gonna call the DR on Monday. I suggest you do the same.

Check the website. The recall has spread to IV solutions, lidocaine, and many other substances. Who knows how many thousands of people might die from this. This is real doom.
 Quoting: tiger1

Lidocaine is not the dental anesthesic?????????
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 24507166

Lidocaine is a local anesthetic used for stitches, and minor surgery, like a mole removal.
