If I don't want to be wealthy and educated, why won't the majority of people accept that?

Why do the majority want me to buy a house, have a spouse and children, etc?

So they can drain your money for the education you pay for then your money earned through taxation.

They profit off you being forced to do what you do not want to do......but they leave no other option or place to go.
They will shun, degrade, out cast you and eventually seek to detain. If they can no use and profit from you the cash cow to them.

I don't own a house, don't have a wife (don't want one) and don't have children (definitely don't want those, either.)

However, what do these things (or the lack thereof) have to do with being "wealthy and educated?" I am (self-)educated, I work a professional-level job, I earn a good amount of disposable income and have copious amounts of free time in which to pursue in my various hobbies and interests.

I would not say that I am all that "wealthy" compared to some but what I am sure beats being a poor, stupid loser, and that's a fact.

My guess is that they have enough wisdom to know what can happen if you are unable to work.

Perhaps children and a wife are not your desire. However for most people it's the best life has given them. As they age, family is more important than anything else.

Owning a house does provide some back-up should you become too ill or too old to work.

When you are young these ideas seem so remote. When you are young you don't expect to end your life alone, or without a place to call home. It's my guess this is what the "majority" think of when they wish for you to have a family and buy a house.

I don't think your theory is even remotely accurate. I personally have never thought this way ever about anyone. I don't care what you do, be happy...but don't ask for a single penny from the government to help because that money comes from me.

Because the majority of people want to tell you how to live your life, instead of looking at their own miserable failed lives.

Correction OP, nobody gives a third of a fuck what you decide to do with your life.

Just don't try to steal shit (via voting) from those who decide differently.

You are entitled to exactly nothing. Just FYI, before you start demanding "free" healthcare and fire and police protection.

I have a fine Asian Wife, House is paid for, Brand new Toyota 4x4 Paid for & Own a home over sea's.

I like to travel and see the world from outside the teaching of the U.S.
If you never have traveled out Of the U.S, I would suggest you do so.

And if you want to help your family or travel like I do, It costs money .
And you wont get there playing video games in your moms garage !

But I do hear what your saying, When I'm on a small island in the middle of the ocean. CoCo nuts are free and fish are too.

But in the U.S its a cock show.

Do what makes you happy, most males don't live that long anyway!

Because you are only good for one income. With a family you give them a wife to tax. Both of you stay located together and are easier to find.

And pumping out kids for indoctrination helps grease the skids.

My city is too expensive. All I could possibly afford is a condo, and one the size of my apartment (1 bedroom + den) is $250K. Condos are shitty investments: all the risk, expense, upkeep and responsibility of home "ownership" combined with all the rules, neighbors, potential for pests (bedbugs are becoming a big problem) and BS of apartment dwelling. No thanks.

Even the "suburbs" are expensive. I work with guys who drive in from almost two hours away. Why would I do that to myself? Then I'd need to own a car and waste additional hours commuting, pay for gas, insurance, maintenance, parking, etc.

My rent went up 2% this year, and 0.6% the year before. So much for "inflation."

You're wrong. Both of these come at a cost. If you have no income I shouldn't have to pay for someone else because I do have an income.
