Quoting: Éireann Someone in the Presidential Protocol office should have been hung for not explaining to him that once the Queen stands, "God Save the Queen" is played and NO ONE talks or does anything until it is over. He should have been told to wait to say the rest of the "toast speech" until after the anthem was played. I was soooo embarrassed. I'm a loser, poor nobody and I knew he mussed up major. It's funny now, but I was so humiliated to have the President of my country insult the Queen of another country out of complete ignorance for their cultural etiquette.
