My thought is that they might have positioned this in Illinois just in case the predictions shone on the so-called US Navy Future Maps unfold during some coming disaster.

What frustrates me, is that I have just spent the better part of the day looking for source material to present here, but, there's not much there that a veteran GLP'er would accept.

What concerns me, is that all of the USGS links to maps and publications concerning the "CENTRAL REGION" for our country, have been disabled.

I searched through hundreds of file databases, and could not find any decent reports.
