Quoting: Herman The Kid Silly me. Zero! They wore them at the Chicago strike rallies. Seems like making fun of white people and Christians in this country is fine but our leaders are out to crucify those opposing Muhammad or Obama. Strange connection? I don't think so. Need to empower out teachers! |

What were YOU thinking about at that age? Why should the student and we NOT be justly concerned that a state-paid individual is indoctrinating children in her care, who also wields the coercive power of assigning grades? |

My kids are informed and prepared at 15 & 19. They know the issues and can debate with the best of them. They also are/have been in the most liberal schools in the nation and still managed to decide that the conservative path is the truest IF you don't want to end up hopelessly under your governments thumb. Fool me once, shame on you.....fool me twice shame on me. |

In this country they teach in High School, American History as well as Civics (politics). I agree and it's not recent either. I'm OLD and back when I was in HS, we had a class (required) AvC (Americanism vs Communism) They WANTED us to know what to be aware of and how it can become like a disease, making a once wealthy and prosperous nation, a poverty ridden disaster. She ridicules the student and compares her (the student) to being KKK racist! [link to finance.yahoo.com] The 16-year old sophomore, who attends Charles Carroll High School, told CNBC's Larry Kudlow, that she was humiliated by a teacher for wearing a T-shirt in support of Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan. She said the teacher compared her to the worst racists in history -- the Ku Klux Klan. "It was really embarrassing, and I think she did it because she's against Mitt Romney," Samantha said. "I was really nervous," she added, "and I was worried that after class, people were going to come up to me and say something." [link to finance.yahoo.com] Bullies always say - 'it was a joke' BS on that teacher! Who the F doess that teacher think she is???? She is there to teach not f-in judge the students political choices!! That shit pisses me off. Other teachers should be appauled at that teachers behavior. This is easy and indisputable...this teacher has to go. |

OH and BTW - its not about who the student supports, its about the teacher overstepping her role as a teacher. It's the teacher's classroom. There is no freedom of speech in a classroom. It has to retain order, with minimal distractions. A high school classroom, with near adult aged children, should have to wear fucking uniforms, so none of this shit happens, but since they don't wear uniforms, then the teacher has EVERY RIGHT IN THE WORLD to dictate what a child can/cannot wear to minimize distractions. The comments were of a political nature, and also of a personal nature. We are looking into the comments, and the conduct of the teacher.” Gallard said the student was within her rights. “She was expressing her freedom of speech, and was not in violation of any school or district policy,” he said. That DOES NOT BELONG IN A CLASSROOM...PERIOD! The kid was obviously doing it to get a reaction, and when she gets a reaction, she cried like the little cunt she is to the press. FUCK HER, AND FUCK YOU! The teacher is the one to decide what constitutes a distraction to the other 30+ students. Would you be okay if a student wore a "I hate gay people" shirt in a class in S.F.? Or a "I hate the 2nd Amendment" in a class in some Texas classroo? Or a "Slavery was a great thing" shirt in Detroit? Those would be unacceptable because a fucking riot would ensue...so the teacher has the right to protect her other students and not let something build into a distraction or worse, a riot. |

Granted, you need a basic understanding of the world and how it works before you can construct any sufficient opinion, but some kids read the news from a young age, myself included, and had strong political views since early adolescence. They have changed over the years, but not too dramatically. Now, being in my late twenties, I have had the luxury of seeing through all the BS and am comfortable with my viewpoints. |
