The 16-year old sophomore, who attends Charles Carroll High School, told CNBC's Larry Kudlow, that she was humiliated by a teacher for wearing a T-shirt in support of Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan.

She said the teacher compared her to the worst racists in history -- the Ku Klux Klan.

"It was really embarrassing, and I think she did it because she's against Mitt Romney," Samantha said.

"I was really nervous," she added, "and I was worried that after class, people were going to come up to me and say something."

It's the teacher's classroom. There is no freedom of speech in a classroom. It has to retain order, with minimal distractions.

A high school classroom, with near adult aged children, should have to wear fucking uniforms, so none of this shit happens, but since they don't wear uniforms, then the teacher has EVERY RIGHT IN THE WORLD to dictate what a child can/cannot wear to minimize distractions.

The comments were of a political nature, and also of a personal nature. We are looking into the comments, and the conduct of the teacher.”


Gallard said the student was within her rights.

“She was expressing her freedom of speech, and was not in violation of any school or district policy,” he said.

The teacher is the one to decide what constitutes a distraction to the other 30+ students.

Would you be okay if a student wore a "I hate gay people" shirt in a class in S.F.? Or a "I hate the 2nd Amendment" in a class in some Texas classroo? Or a "Slavery was a great thing" shirt in Detroit?

Those would be unacceptable because a fucking riot would ensue...so the teacher has the right to protect her other students and not let something build into a distraction or worse, a riot.
