most of them have never even seen a finished item produced in their own workplace.

And if Apple "cared" about the US, from whom this co. has made a flipping FORTUNE!!!! I guess they would also be providing jobs to AMERICANS - instead of outsourcing their work for slave wages!

Those workers left perfectly good farms to go work in a factory because they are greedy and want Levi's, iPhones, etc. Don't pity them, nobody put a gun to their head.

In this day and age only people who are exploited in factories are illegals, and I doubt a major player like Foxconn could get away with hiring them.

New York-based China Labor Watch reported that 3,000 to 4,000 workers at the Foxconn plant in the central China's Zhengzhou city went on strike Friday over increased quality control demands and having to work during an extended national holiday.

The official Xinhua News Agency, quoting a spokesman for the management committee of the Xinzheng Comprehensive Bonded Area where the plant is located, said some production lines were halted Friday when workers persuaded quality inspectors to skip work to show their dissatisfaction over higher quality standards.

Why attack only Foxcon? Everything tech that you purchase that is either manufactured in China or has components that are made in China, and are manufactured under similar conditions with the Korean companies being the leads in "rough" working conditions for their Chinese employees. I think that OP is a shill for one of the "other", less innovative clone manufacturers. Just say'in.
